Duo Realis vs MB 110?
I own many MB baits and quite a few 110s. Just curious since I've never used a Realis how it compares to the MB in terms of quality and fish catchability.

Re: Antares 2016
It's definitely smoother with less effort to cast than my Excense. The tension knob thing I'm getting used to. I'd like to know how it compares with the old.

Re: 2016 Shimano Baitcasting Reels
NM is nylon mono and X is no brakes for max casting.
X setting takes me back to when i was first learning a baitcaster.
I figured that was what the screw to the spool was and after i saw how difficult to turn by hand (nail) i realise it's not meant to play with. Casting got easier as i went along.

Re: 2016 Shimano Baitcasting Reels
For the Antares, it doesnt seem to have a tension knob. Is that normal or is it controlled from the inside?

Re: FG knot question
A good alternative is a PR knot with the bobbin knotter. I've tied plenty of FG's for salt but once is started using the knotter I've saved so much time and it's stronger.

MB 110s with split rings or snaps
Just like the title suggests. Has anyone tried swapping the aplit rings for duo snaps and what are the advantages/disadvantage?

Re: Anyone get their new Antares Dc yet?
I hoping for castability compared to some of the other reels. "Backlash-ility" and like overall feel in hand, retrieve and so on.

Anyone get their new Antares Dc yet?
Just want a quick comparison with the old. Not the specs but actual hands on comparison.

Re: Antares 2016
Pendulum cast. Probably used light braided line with an aerodynamic rubber weight.
I want to see how far they can cast with a jerk or crankbait. Not questioning their casting skills, I just really want to see how much farther they can cast than me.

Super Natural for topwater?
I just bought some 20 and 25# Super Natural to throw bigger topwaters. I didn't like the feel with braid so I wanted to try mono. Is that a good choice of mono for this purpose?
