Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy
Thank you very much for the information. One of my favorite rods so I guess I'll keep fishing it for now. I ordered it from TW and have the receipt. I'm not 100% sure. I think they have been offering MSRP credit. I do not see any model listed in our system for use as a replacement in warranty situat...

Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy
Thank you for your response! To me it looks more like air voids under the clear coat than moisture, and the rod has been well taken care of. Out of curiosity, what would replacement option be with no Adrenas available? It's hard to tell what is going on from your picture. It doesn't look like there ...

Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy
Rod has not been stored in the boat or anywhere else near moisture, and has looked this way for weeks with no change.
Tim Kelly wrote:If it had been lying in a damp rod locker the dampness can get into the clearcoat. It usually dries out when taken out of the locker though and should go back to normal.

Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy
Just noticed what looks like air voids or clear coat cracking? on my beloved Adrena 7'4" pitch/flip. It is only on the side opposite the guides, and spans from just above the 3rd guide from the bottom almost up to the tip.

Aldebaran MGL
I absolutely love the 50HG, but I always wished there was a faster 50XG. With the 30 MGL update, I'm surprised that the 8:1 ratio is still not available?

Re: Curado 70XG drag & spool tension coming loose
Thanks for your reply—I set the drag tight, but not locked all the way down. Often times within the day, I find that it is really loose, and have missed some fish when I forget to check it. For spool tension, I tighten it enough to remove all spool side-to-side play, and it still works its way loose...

Curado 70XG drag & spool tension coming loose
Hello, I have a Curado 70XG and notice that if the drag is not locked down, it tends to work it's way loose on its own really quickly. I'm also having the same issue with the spool tension knob, it gets very loose on own quite frequently. Any input is greatly appreciate.

Re: Shallow spool for Chronarch Ci4?
Just saw this: NEW for Chronarch Ci4 Avail Microcast 14CRNC50R spool for Chronarch Ci4 2015 Shimano 14 Chrinarch Ci4 reels. Casts great for heavier than 3.5g 1/8oz. Please use SVS from original spool, and Avail SVS puller4 is helpful. It is listed at the bottom of this list. 0.31mm(US12lb)-75m(85yds...

Re: 2015 Shimano Aldebaran
I just got a 2015 Shimano Aldebaran, and one issue I've noticed is that the thumb bar sometimes seems to take a lot of force to depress. It feels kind of like there is friction against the right side of the bar. Maybe it just needs to be used some more, or oiled?

Ever seen cracks in NRX 894c reel seat?
I was changing the reel on my 894c and made a very sad discovery. 2 cracks, one on each side of the lower reel seat. The reel was a Chronarch Ci4+, and was not overtightened.

Re: Shallow spool for Chronarch Ci4?
A huge thank you to all that replied! So it sounds like the answer at this point is no shallow spool for the Ci4 Chronarch. If one comes out, someone please post up.
