Re: Elaztech
I've been a Z-Man staffer for 10+ years. Not paid, but not a 40 percenter. I'm not a gifted promoter, but I dam sure like to talk baits. Z-Man has always made the Elaztec baits for Strike King, even before putting their own brand on them. They've discontinued a few of my favorite models and colors ...

Re: Chunks vs Full Jig Trailers
I was never much of a chunk fan until I started using Z-Man BatWingZ couple years ago. I wanted to try something more subtle for early spring. I am 100% sold on them, and I may use them all year long. I don't even carry other chunks anymore. I really think it is the buoyancy of the claws rising up ...

Re: Spinner bait rod suggestions
My go-to spinnerbait rod is a 7' medium fast St Croix LTB. It's an older Bass Teaser model. I feel like I get better hookups with the medium over medium heavy. Kind of the crankbait rod principle, gives them a bit more time to eat it. Tried a G.Loomis MBR 842, but it was too soft for my liking. St C...

Looks pretty fantastic. I'll be trying one. Curado K frame was just a bit too big for my hands.

Re: Chatterbait Advice
If you're fishing a fairly light setup, you might look at the Chatterbait Minimax when it comes out.

Re: Here's what I did with a squeaky E7
From past experience, I would probably replace that roller clutch. They are meant to run dry or with only a light coat of oil for rust protection. If you fish in cold weather, you might have issues with slippage. Nothing like working a jerkbait or setting the hook and reel spins backwards.

Re: Favorite type of topwater bait?
I want to select all of the above. HAd to go with a buzzbait. Just seems to get bigger bites.

Just rod sleeves in the boat locker. I layer my rods with an extra throw float to keep the top and bottom layer of rods separated.

Re: Small swinging heads?
Maybe too late, but I've picked up some of these to try.

Made for shallow water redfish. They look stout. Not your typical football style head. 1/8 to 1/4
