Same here, buddy. I'm on the hunt now.

Re: boca bearing service

Phone must be the way to go. I tried contacting the rep here that used to be on the Boca subforum about a pair of spool pin pliers that the pin broke through the backside of the jaws. Also emailed them. That was two years ago, and still waiting on a response. At least I still have my ReelSpeed plier...

Re: Black Jungle 7'4" Power Versatile

It's my favorite heavy cover frog rod period. There are better open water, lighter cover frog rods yes, but for the thick stuff, it's phenomenal. It's in stock and ready to ship at The Tackle Trap too... I had the chance to use my Power Versatile this summer for heavy cover frogging. Bronzefly is s...

Re: Ultimate Lure Saver split rings?

Appreciate the feedback. I wouldn't use them on any of my bass gear. I am looking for a small number for one bait, one situation for catching walleye. They are netted, so not real concerned about losing fish. Fishing with 10lb braid.

Re: Ultimate Lure Saver split rings?

As I understand, they won't straighten out unless it's a straight line pull. The rod action keeps from pulling free on a fish. I just have a special situation I think they would work and save me some $10 baits.

Re: Braid Scissors Question

Picked up this tip from Bass Boat Central. The kids Fiskars scissors at Wally World are only about $2 and work really well. I do have a pair of Boomerangs also, and they work really well also. For trimming ends of a leader knot, they can get as closer than any scissors I've tried.

Ultimate Lure Saver split rings?

I've seen a lot of references to them in past TT lure reviews. Never tried them, and it seems they are discontinued.
Is there anything similar out there?

Re: Spool Bearing Remover Battle

I have a version 1 pair of Reel Speed pliers and first generation Boca pliers. My Boca pliers broke on a spool pin. The pin broke through the back side of the jaws. Emailed Boca about warranty but never heard back. Kind of disappointing.

I'm curious which model Cronos would be closest in power and action to the Zodias 7' medium spinning. Anybody fished both?

Re: Ned Rig for Panfish

Houndfish, sorry to report that they are no longer producing the mini split tail trailers, or packaging them with the small chatterbaits. Perhaps you could trim one of the regular size trailers to the size you need?

Re: Ned Rig for Panfish

The ED Rig! I like it. Good suggestion on those jigheads. I like that keeper. I will ask about the smaller chatterbait trailers. Another bait I've been using with a lot of success on crappie this winter is the Z-Man Slim SwimZ. A lot of little swimbaits dont have great action; these DO! Most of the ...

Re: Ned Rig for Panfish

Some good suggestions with the Leech and Earthworm is spoton with the 4" finesse worm cut down. Completely different shape between the 7" finesse worm and the 4". You might look at cutting down the finesse shadZ as well. I will add, if you really want to get down and dirty modifying an ElaZtec bait,...
