Re: 13 fishing defy silver
Thank you for the write up! I had the first and second gen RR and while it was an excellent stick, ul was never my primary way to fish due to the feisty exotics we run into down here. I'd have to wear some of them out pretty good before getting close to shore. My go to is a ml/f avid x paired with a...

Re: 13 fishing defy silver
Ooh OK... I have some questions regarding the presso
Do you have the 2 or 4 piece?
How are the connections?
True to their ratings and action?
As sensitive as a $60 rod can be?
Would you buy again?

Re: 13 fishing defy silver
Ehhh. I have an Omen black that broke at the same spot. Even though the warranty process was smooth, I never warmed up to it since. My kids ambition rod has held up fine and totally worth its low price but never really seen much use since she hasn't been out with me much recently. I'll pass on this ...

Re: 13 fishing defy silver
I emailed their CS asking the rod weights and connection type. They replied saying the weight was on the product page and they're the same connection as any other 2 piece rod.

Re: 13 fishing defy silver
It seems like these have been out for a while now :-k Too bad there really isn't much out there in terms of feedback for this line up of defy. The silver has different polished SS guides instead of the zirconia on the black series otherwise they look to be similar builds http://www.13fishing.com/def...

Re: Phenix Feather 7'1 L Casting
I was curious about the reel seat, if it fishes true to its ratings and the overall quality.Fishing4Fun wrote:I have one! What are you particularly wanting to know about the rod?

Phenix Feather 7'1 L Casting
Anyone have experience with this particular rod?
Didn't care for the recon models real seat/grip. Is this any better?
Fish lighter than rated?

Thanks!

Re: Getting back into BFS
Decided on the fuego CT with a diy spool.
Leaning toward the Phenix feather 7'1 L as a usdm option
https://www.phenixrods.com/products/freshwater/feather/
Or the kuying 662L.
Anyone have experience with the L power feather?

They do but the lightest available is the ML. From what they told me, they will not be continuing that series in the US.

Re: Getting back into BFS
Thanks jersey! It's been a while since I've posted but I've been lurking around  Here is my previous bfs rig that I loved everything about except the skinny rod handle. https://i.postimg.cc/5y6ZVxyt/20151122-105021.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/WpHB7JYq/20151122-104949.jpg I had the avail 915 with 1...
