Re: ABU Revo STX
I've had a reel before that's made in Korea and it broke during the first week, and that reel was over $150, so it wasn't a cheapy. Maybe the Revo has a better design and factory that builds them?Bass Pro wrote:Made in Korea

Re: PANTHER MARTIN STARTS USING CHEAPER,DIFFERENT SPINNER B
I haven't bought any lately, but I hope the new blades aren't as you described. I'm sure if they are not making it somewhere else other than Italy, they can also try to reproduce the old blades, I hope! I just looked on their website and see that the new blades are stamped differently also with the ...

Re: Kistler Review...
With that said, I also have to say that stuff made in other countries have gotten so good, it doesn't really matter anymore. If the company is saving a big chunk, let's see some of that given back to the consumer by lowering the price.
I've played with Powell rods. Excellent rods and great price too!

Wow, look how long this thread is now.
I have to agree. If it's made in Asia or Mexico or any place where labor is cheap, it better not cost $300+ unless the thread wraps and reel seat is made out of gold!

Re: 2006 Quantum Energy Pti
Remember the plastic parts that were on the Kinetic PTi, Catalyst PTi, and Energy PTi? Well, plastic no more. All the plastic has been replaced with metal!!! Now you have more durable components. Check out the drag knob and other components. You'll see that it's metal now. So looks like to keep the ...

Re: Budget Spinning Reel
I never liked the Okumas. They are heavy! Nowadays any company make decent spinning reels. Try Shimano, Pflueger, or Quantum. WAIT! Look around the internet for the Quantum Catalyst PTi or even at your local stores. Get the last year's model which many place should be dumping right now for cheap so ...
