Re: New Steez Ergonomics

It feels smaller than it looks.
I have fairly small hands.....I find it palms much nicer than a metanium.

The thin knobs are nice too

Just grabbed a 16 alde bfs....feels very similar in hand.

I like how the steez palms better than the MGXtreme2

Re: Is 1/8th ounce considered bfs?

Punish? I don't know about that. With the right reel and rod it's an absolute blast casting lures under 1/4. Back to the subject. The Concept of BFS originated as using baitcasters to cast lighter than average lures where's there's an advantage over spinning reels. Example pitching into tight quart...

Re: Want to buy one super high end rod - which one should it be?

go with the 8' steez ags.... I'm in nj...so to target the biggest of the big bass....i sold off my 4th boat over a decade ago and focused on boots paddles and fins. I try to limit what I carry to 3 rods max. To cover everything from finesse to frogging. I can carry more but backpacking a 30lb float ...

Re: Steez SV TW vs Metanium MGL

Hey all, I was wondering if you could provide feedback on these two reels. How do these two reels compare against each other. Is one substantially better than the other? Or are they both relatively comparable. I plan on throwing weightless wacky rigs, finesse jigs, and trigs 1/8 to 1/2. I plan on p...

Re: Need a good rod for Pointer 128s

Hey guys, Looking for a rod that can handle and fish a Pointer 128 or jerkbaits it’s size well. Not many jerkbait rods made for baits one ounce or above. Price is no object. If the mods can chime in especially, since an article just got posted about the baits. Thanks in Advance! I like longer rods ...

Re: This poor reel

One run in a rod locker in some sporty condition clanging against it's neighbor can do some serious damage. Or just tossed in the bed of a truck and went muddin :) Had a pair of terez rods in a rocket launcher for a 100 mile ride out, 100 miles of trolling, and 100 mile run back in. Never used the c...

Re: Stripped screw

Wiha and I've come to really like Wera.

Oddly enough heard a few years ago someone digging the pozidrives and grabbed a couple. Man they grip...and they dont even mar the black coating that come on many of the screws.

Re: New fireline fused 8 carrier

Since this is an ongoing type thing. I've now started to get some fuzzyness in the last 6 feet or so of line. So I guess it will happen with this stuff. It has also gotten a bit noisier. Not as bad as the original..but nothing at all like nanofil. Still good stuff.. I'd say the 4lb test is probably ...

Is 1/8th ounce considered bfs?

I don't want to get flamed for a video title. I built a rod at home depot and spent most of the time throwing little rapala ul minnows which weigh in at 1/8 oz.

Is that bfs :)

Had a blast too!

Question for y'all

Was the Procaster

PT 33 daiwa's first low profile bass baitcaster?

If not...what was.

I know they had tons of earlier reels. As well as seikos. I'm just not sure if there was an earlier low pro.

I already have Shimano's first. Would like to add daiwa's
