Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

This is absolutely not accurate, I’m just doing brain exercise. In here I’m casting ~23 m. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHVpq00gu8U&t=46s Cast time ~2,5 s. That’s 9,2 m/s. 30 mm spool perimeter is 0,09428 m. That makes 97,6 rps, which is 5857 rpm. But actually cast starts from ~4,2 m higher than...

Re: MGL

Thanks guys, I appreciate the experiences of experienced anglers. Ii always have the feeling that some manufacturers make a minor change and hype it up . Glad to know there is a real difference. Well fishing the Chronarch CI4 and MGL version side by side there was very little gains if any noticed f...

Re: Fishing Misconceptions That You Wish Would Die

Braid is more sensitive though, isn't it? I thought that was objectively true, as well :?: Only if your line isn't slack ... you can still feel that "tick" with fluoro on a slack line :) "Braid is more sensitive" it the one that really drives me insane, along with "Fluoro doesn't stretch". The seco...

Re: What is wrong with Quantum

I gave them a shot but wont buy again. I just bought a new Tour S3 during 50% off sale glad I didnt pay more. I have an issue with it already it buzzes quite loudly on casts. The harder the cast the louder/longer the buzzing. It gets quite annoying after just a few casts. If setting the brake down ...

Re: What is wrong with Quantum

I'll add that my Quantum Smoke rods gen 1 7' M/F are my favorite rods I own. I would sell my Legend elites LTB NRX Kistlers Cumara all my other rods before Id let my Smokes go. So I dont hate on Quantum I just give my honest feedback on the products I use.

Re: Daiwa TWS And Braid, Opinions

The one link I was able to look at was from 2016. Come on guys if you don't like the T-wing that is fine but apparently the problems with it were fixed some time ago. I have seen no new posts of the thing grooving. For me the TWS deal is a non issue I neither love or hate it. I have used braid to l...
