Re: Chronarch MGL interesting story

MM gears, and high ratios=really freaking small teeth. Sure, its smooth at first, but durability suffers. I cant stand that Daiwa is doing this with the new Ryoga. I dont care what grease you use, it aint gonna help. Stick to ole reliable. 7 is a max I will go with regular gears, 6 in the MM gears ...

Re: Core50Mg 7 questions

To me the only thing the Core has going for it is the weight. A new curado 70 will outperform a stock Core easily and hang right with a super tuned 50, 70 will have more power as well. I can agree that the 70 can cast further, but that’s where the comparison stops. I’m currently using both, and the...

Re: What's next for Shimano???

Go read the latest TT review on the SLX what did it get dinged repeatedly for yep no outside brake adjustment. http://tackletour.com/reviewshimanoslxreelpg3.html "The only downside to the SLX’s ergonomics is that the VBS cast control adjustment, and like many other legacy Shimano baitcasters, ...

Re: What's next for Shimano???

Just go back and read all the whining about not having an outside way of brake adjustment. That was a big dig daiwa fanboys had on shimano. Also you dont have to use that dial, you know, just leave it set at 6 and use the internal tabs just like on VBS of old. Its that simple but may not be simple e...

Re: Tatula SV casting distance.

Its been widely noted the SV (SV105 & Tat SV) lacks distance but makes up for it in control. For me control isnt an issue and will not be getting anymore SV braked reels. This reminds me my Tat SV was squealing loudly while casting at the end of last season have to check the spool bearings out. ...

Re: Best braid for spinning reels?

PP Suoer Slick gave me a few wind knots in the higher pound ranges (30-65#). Sufix 832 has been consistent, but I'm still looking for something better. I just bought a 20# spool of the new Daiwa J Braid x8 Grand. Hope to try it out in about 2 weeks. I was tempted to buy the Samurai braid but then r...

Re: Faulty Drag On Daiwa Tatula SV TWS?

I tried mine out for you. I have 16# sniper and tight drag produced 10-11 pounds with a high that I saw of 11#-7oz. Not smooth at all very clunky release.
Pushing the handle shaft in/ out slight click sound.

Re: Aerosal Spray for Cleaning Bearings

As for using compressed air to force gunk out of a bearing, while it spins at RPMs higher than it will ever see in a reel, while DRY...well let’s just say that’s as bad if not worse than using a harsh solvent. We can agree to disagree. Its OK. Compressed air is a great way clean out bearings safely...

QuakenShake no but I looked it up and I laughed cause I never thought of even lookin for a soft plastics glue. Damn it I just ordered some of them and multiple flukes in new colors to me and a pack of some ElaZtech style flukes as well. Thanks for the info! Its not really a glue but a chemical that...
