Re: Tatula CT/SV bearing retainer

If you have it smooshed against the bearing, there is a possibility. Try taking it out and flattening it, and try it out again. More than likely a bad bearing though. That's my thought. Try greasing the spool shaft ends before you do anything else. Thanks will try grease first Grease didnt work :( ...

Re: The most UNDER rated..

Sure hope the ones mentioning Kistler are correct and it fishes better than it feels. I got my first the H3 7'3"LMH and just with a reel on it holding it in my hand it leaves me wanting more and not all that impressed for a $300 rod that I paid $213 for. Right now though feel like posting this in th...

Re: LOOKING FOR Below 4oz Bass Casting Rod

Okuma Helios 7' M and 7' MH rods are 3.3-3.5oz range. TT review rates it at a 5 for balance so very light balanced rods and I agree I have both. They can be found in the $150 range.

Re: Tatula CT/SV bearing retainer

I cant remember if there was a topic on this, and if there was I cant find it. Has anyone tried replacing that stupid star retainer on the crank plate spool bearing with a normal one? Could that retainer be a cause of loud screeching sound on a cast??? My Tat SV screams. I have taken it apart clean...

Re: Chronarch MGL interesting story

MM gears, and high ratios=really freaking small teeth. Sure, its smooth at first, but durability suffers. I cant stand that Daiwa is doing this with the new Ryoga. I dont care what grease you use, it aint gonna help. Stick to ole reliable. 7 is a max I will go with regular gears, 6 in the MM gears ...

Re: Core50Mg 7 questions

To me the only thing the Core has going for it is the weight. A new curado 70 will outperform a stock Core easily and hang right with a super tuned 50, 70 will have more power as well. I can agree that the 70 can cast further, but that’s where the comparison stops. I’m currently using both, and the...

Go read the latest TT review on the SLX what did it get dinged repeatedly for yep no outside brake adjustment. http://tackletour.com/reviewshimanoslxreelpg3.html "The only downside to the SLX’s ergonomics is that the VBS cast control adjustment, and like many other legacy Shimano baitcasters, must ...

Re: What's next for Shimano???

Just go back and read all the whining about not having an outside way of brake adjustment. That was a big dig daiwa fanboys had on shimano. Also you dont have to use that dial, you know, just leave it set at 6 and use the internal tabs just like on VBS of old. Its that simple but may not be simple e...
