I know the feeling. Those side plate screws are absolutely the worst. I use a screw extractor every time I break down a millionaire for the first time. I replace them and make sure to add grease so they come out easy when it comes time for servicing again.

My experience, no problem w/ saltwater. I use both the F6-72X4 and F4.5-70X4 in the bay and have zero issues w/ salt.

This was easily the scariest project I have worked on. The screws inside this reel are very small and can be stripped very easily.
