Re: Ring in the Holidays with our 2015 Holiday Gift Guide Pa

Tacky. Every year the same tacky two articles. My search hasn't been exhaustive but I can't find, or recall, any other bass-related website (forums or boat/tackle manufacturers) that choose to use scantily-clad women in their marketing. Wow. New member, 3 posts, all of them criticizing TT and how t...

Re: Pre-ICAST the New Shimano Stradic FK Spinning Reel

Yep. I was always under the impression that back reeling was born out of guys down south who fish their drags too tight, being used to baitcasters, and from inferior drags of days of old. Today's drags are silky smooth on quality reels. I don't see saltwater guys complaining when pelagics rip off hu...

Re: Introducing Sunline's New P-Ion Assassin FC

If they use graduated pricing like the other lines, you get another 25 yards for about the same price. That's only 12.5% less than Sniper. Add to that (unless you are using as leader material) the wastage on the back end of any filler spool and it really doesn't amount to much. I can't see anyone wh...

Re: Introducing Sunline's New P-Ion Assassin FC

So where do you put it in terms of Sniper and Shooter? Is it any different to warrant making a change? It didn't really seem to offer much of a different take, or an upgrade on either line...

Re: How Low Can Daiwa Go? The Refreshed AIRD Baitcaster

Yeah, re reading the entire review, it is kind of contradictory. Seeing the picture, the frame is definitely plastic. I am thinking that the reel foot and some kind of supporting structure may be metal. I did handle one a few weeks ago before the review and didn't really think much of it. I'll look ...

Pretty sure the entire reel is composite/graphite/plastic.

Re: Zodias or E6X for 200 dollars?

I question whether most people saying e6x have held both. Seriously, if your rod breaks after a year it's not likely a defect. Just remember that warranty is built into that e6x's price. You get less rod for the money in order to pay for potential replacements.

Re: Zodias or E6X for 200 dollars?

Zodias is head and shoulders above from a shop floor "feel" perspective. e6x just felt heavy like the GL2 did, though not as bad. Way better rods for less that the E6x IMHO.

Re: Introducing TackleTour's FPI-Fluorocarbon Performance In

This is all fantastic, the initial concept, and the points that the guys are making here...BUT There is one HUGE thing I think that is being missed out of all it. It makes the ultimate difference, is a factor that applies to EVERYONE who uses the line. How does it perform when wet? These factors are...
