Lucky Craft Iron Athlete braid
Looking for suggestions that would be comparable to Iron Athlete braid. I am down to my last few 77yd spools. I prefer 12lb test Iron athlete, can anyone recommend something similar? Please advise. I would rather not spend a ton of money trying other braids if I don’t have to.

Help with Certate 2500R
I have a Daiwa Certate 2500R that I purchased in 2010 from Bass Pro Shops on Black Friday. Does anyone know where I can get it serviced? I sent it to Daiwa with 3 other reels for service and they said because it is a JDM reel they will not service it. I love this reel and I went to clean it at the e...

Re: Smaller Spinning Reels
I used to use 2000 size spinning reels, and then all 2500 size-but I only use 3000 size now.I fish tubes a lot for smallmouth, and when you snap them off the bottom violently on slack line often times they grab your bait and swim directly at you,and if you cannot take up a lot of slack quickly you wil...

Re: first-time rod builder questions
A glx cannot be had for 250-300,and a custom in the same ballpark won't be either.I can appreciate where you are trying to get,but top of the line blanks are expensive and something that is rarely talked about is the price to ship blanks/finished rods.what I do is try to order multiple blanks at a t...

Not a fan of red trebles, but daiichi death traps and owner stingers would be my choice.gammys would be number 3.

Re: Blank recommendation
Rogue bb796 should be perfect.that is a blank I could not live without.it is 7ft9- but you could cut it down if you see fit.i would call it parabolic with a fast tip if that makes sense.it is lightweight, sensitive and loads up well.

fellow builder help.
I am wondering if anyone can help me out here.I have a seeker bs706s I built for a friend, and he snapped it between the split grip.I need a piece of blank I can epoxy in-and just extend the handle from the break down, and use a full cork handle.I usually have pieces around from shortened blanks, but I...

Re: Dropshot blank questions
Forgot to mention,I picked up a few of these blanks at Mudhole (LE Green metalic) on closeout. You will have to check mudhole to see if they still have any.Get one for yourself.......you will want one.

Re: Dropshot blank questions
Been building 7ft medium light st.croix's for drop shotting quite a while now. They are perfect, whether its an avid or legend it doesnt matter......they are supreme. The legend elites are my favorite, and the 7ft medium is also quite nice-a little more backbone, but still a nice soft tip-better for bulk...

Re: Custom Online, Where?
What you want doesn't exist. And by the sound of your thread, you don't really want a custom, you want a factory rod-you just want to choose components and colors. There is no distributor for clicking foregrip reel seats, that also have skeleton daiwa seats.Find a builder you trust, tell them what you int...

Re: Experience with Seeker S Glass or MHX Blend?
First off,you mention 3 entirely different rods, and three different techniques. They sound similar, but they are not.Everyone has their own opinion, and they are certainly entitled to it........here is mine. 1.Seeker bs706s I LOVE this blank, light as heck, fast tip, forgiving like S glass should be.It do...
