Re: Trigger X Plastics?
I have experimented fairly extensively with several offerings within their lineup over the last several years. I should first acknowledge that I am sufficiently convinced that the pheromone infusion inherent to their baits is a legitimate enhancement. In the past I have come to rely on a select rost...

Re: Zillion Bait Finesse
The Zillion rod in question is actually designed specifically for Bait Finesse fishing, lighter than both models recommended above. As I understand it, it is 6'10", ML power, MF action, and is tailored for truly light lines / weights. In essence, at true finesse-purposed baitcasting rod.
That bein...

Zillion Bait Finesse
While perusing random fishing videos, I happened upon one posted by an angler from Spain (per my recollection) that showcased his use of a Daiwa Zillion Bait Finesse (casting) rod coupled with an Alphas Ito...
Frankly, I had no clue that there was a Bait Finesse model within the Zillion lineup. I...

Re: Another Chronarch CI4 Question
There is no 7.1 with that reel I know, it's 7.6:1. Notice my use of a colon, not a period. My writing 7:1 was a generality, derived from not immediately recalling what percentage of a full rotation past the spool's seventh the reel afforded per crank (which is 60%). 7.?:1 sans the .?, for the afore...

Re: Tatula type R or chronarch ci4??
My vote would be for the Tatula Type R. I should note that I do own, and really like, the Chroanrch Ci4. In using one, don't mistake the alternative feel that it's Ci4 construction affords as an indication of inferior quality. Reels comprised of these new age materials just flat out feel differently...

Re: Aaron Martens x Megabass x Shimano
Aaron is simply confident in speaking his mind. If he is fond of a particular product, and preaching it's merits doesn't infringe on his actual sponsorships, then he won't abstain from doing so. Take, for instance, how many times he's advocated that particular storage bin he uses in videos and artic...

Re: How often do you support your local shop?
Not enough to keep them in business, apparently.
My endeavoring to visit them was always a function of whether or not they had actually diverged from their standard of never having anything intriguing. Most of the inventory seemed to be a byproduct of the Pradco and Pure Fishing reps having too mu...

Re: First Megabass........
Beautiful configuration you have there... Tonight the wife and I were watching Star Wars, and she mentioned that she thought a rod would look nice with a Count Dooku style light-saber handle. Spurred me to show her this thread. Thusly, I might have just gotten the clear to blow more of "our" discret...

Re: Has anyone used a Quantum Biffle Bug rod?
I assume that you're referring to Biffle's 6'10" model. As far as a Quantum offering goes, it's a somewhat decent stick, but there are better offerings relative to said model's price tier. If you are open to pricier options, please divulge, as it would help everyone gear you in the right direction. ...

Re: Boca Plier Problems?
I've never used the slot for removal purposes. A friend of mine has, unfortunately, but he literally reamed a chunked off the edge of said slot. Mine exhibits only slight marring, but enough to cause issues.

That is the picture of the actual reel I have access to. I can now verify that my questions pertain to the 100 A.
Thanks for the clarification.

Pretty sure, based on your link, that it's the standard variant...
It's this model. The box just says Chronarch Bantam 100.

Re: Light braid lifespan
I have also noticed that lighter braids are subject to reduced knot strength after shorter durations of regular use than heavier tests. I should also mention that this has proven to be much less of an issue with light Fireline and Sunline brand options, along with a select roster of JDM offerings.

Thank you for the input.
The only reason that I hadn't posted this in the Shimano Support forum was that there are after-market / opinion related questions. If this is in the wrong locale, I apologize.
