Re: What's your favorite MB 110 color?????
Cosmic shad has worked well for me. With so many great color choices it is really hard to choose.

Re: Help with PX-R Setup
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I ended up tightening the cast control knob a fair amount. I usually set these as loose as possible without getting spool wobble so tightening to the point of eliminating spool over-run was new ground for me. This combined with a slower casting stroke helped. I a...

Re: Help with PX-R Setup
What rod, line, lure type? Whats your mag setting and how tight is the cast control knob? Rod is a Phenix Recon ML rated for 1/8 to half an ounce. Line is Yo Zuri hybrid six pound. Lures are typically 1/8 ounce cranks or topwater. I have tried a variety of mag settings and cast control settings. I ...

Help with PX-R Setup
I've got a Daiwa PX type R that I'm trying to set up for light lures. It seems as if I can set the mag brakes to a point where I don't get a backlash but limited distance or I can get distance but have way too many spool over-runs. With the same rod, I've had no problem casting a 1/8 ounce lure usin...

Re: Alternatives to helicoptering a spinnerbait
I use these in that situation, or any situation I want a slow "helicopter" like fall. I really like them for stroking deeper fish on schools of shad. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bassdozer-TAIL-SPINNER-JIG-bass-fishing-lures-/361229370082 Thanks - i wouldn't have thought of that. How is that swivel in t...

Alternatives to helicoptering a spinnerbait
I got into a strange bite today where the only thing that was working for me was "helicoptering" a spinnerbait. I started the morning throwing a crankbait with no success. I soon switched out to a spinnerbait fishing the outside edges of some weedbanks. I had one cast where a mosquito started to bit...

Re: Budget Swimbait Rod
Thanks everyone. I'll take a look at the Okuma's. For those that have one, which do you recommend? I'm guessing the heavy vs XH for my purposes. Also, are these good for any other purposes such as flipping or Carolina rigs?

Budget Swimbait Rod
I've picked up a few swimbaits but have never given them more than a few casts since they generally overpower my standard gear. With the holiday sales going on, I'm thinking about picking up a swimbait rod for 1-3 oz baits. Does anyone have any recommendations for an inexpensive swimbait rod? How ar...

Ultrasonic cleaner and aluminum
Assuming that the solvent is safe for aluminum, is it ok to use an ultrasonic cleaner on aluminum parts?

Re: Your Favorite Discontinued Bait
A few years back I picked up a Rebel humpback minnow when it was on sale at BPS. On a lark I fished it and was surprised how well it worked as a shallow crank. That original lure is scratched up and has caught dozens of fish. After I found out that they were discontinued, I found a place that had a ...
