Re: chronarch D5 ?
Thanks for the input. Just curious, is there a better drag washer I should use than the stock washer?

Re: chronarch D5 ?
I got the main and pinion gears in along with the key washer and started the gear swap. It appears that you also need the drag washer which is also a different size. Is there anything else you can think of I might need or want to do to improve performance. Thanks, George

Best reel for hollow belly frog?
Trying to get opinions on what the best reel for throwing hollow belly frogs is. I usually throw on 50 lb braid due to the fact the vegetation on our local lakes are fairly light. Due to the light vegetation I usually walk the frog.

chronarch D5 ?
I have a couple of chronarch d5s that I do not use hardly at all because of the gear ratio. I love the two D7s I have and was wondering if I would be better off selling or trading of the D7s or just trying to swap the gears out.

Re: Drop shot set up help
Thanks for the help guys. I got my hands on a good used 702 and have a ci4 headed this way. I like the idea of a light set up. Hopefully it also balances out okay. In my bait casting set ups it seems that balance is more crucial than the actual weight. Ill be able to let you know in a couple of days.

Re: Drop shot set up help
Thanks for the help. I already found a dx 702sf. Now if I can find a used shimano ci4 I'll be in business.

Drop shot set up help
I am finally breaking down and buying a drop shot/shakey head spinning set up. I prefer shimano and daiwa reels. Thinking about a 2500-3000 model to reduce line twist. I am not too familiar with spinning setups and was just looking for advice on a rod and reel that I could use for both. I would like...

Re: I need a reel to use with alabama rigs
Yea I agree a swim bait rod is probably better suited for the task. I am being tight until I am convinced this is a technique I will be using on a regular basis.

Re: I need a reel to use with alabama rigs
I also use the cabelas 50th zillion on the alabama rig. I have mine paired with a dobyns 795 flip and like how it feels and handles. To me the reel feels like it has adequate power, but I have yet to test it out on a big fish.

daiwa reel for steez 631
I am looking for a setup to throw vision 110s. I purchased a steez 631 and I am trying to match it up with the best daiwa reel for a jerkbait setup. I will probably be using 10 lb test line. Any thoughts?

new handle for a zillion 100 sha?
I am looking for a bearing supported handle for my old zillion. I temporarily put a skeet reese revo handle on it and it makes it feel much better. Just wondering if there is another handle that might look better. I like the length of the old one just wish it had bearings and larger knobs like the s...

Re: installing carbontex drag in skeet reese revo?
Thanks Tavery5. The emory board did the trick. I thought is was odd I had to do it to all three reels but it worked great.

installing carbontex drag in skeet reese revo?
I am trying to install carbontex drag in a skeet reese revo and am having a problem getting to them. There is a ridge built on both sides of the crank shaft that keeps the grey plastic drag klicker from coming off to allow access. I tried taking the shaft out and gain access from the other side and ...
