Can anyone out there pour me a 5" hula grub?

Does anyone know of someone who can match a simple color and pour/inject me some 5" skirted double tail hula grubs that are the same size as a Yamamoto 5" hula grub? The Yamamoto is not truly a 5 inch bait on the ruler. The body is only 1.5 inches from skirt to where tails come off of body. Please l...

Re: How is your PP Slick holding up?

I tried the timber brown color as I thought it would be good for stealth. It was waaaaay too visible for my taste in even dingy water.

Re: Recommendation For a Small Fishfinder

See if you can find and Eagle Fishmark 320. They are no longer made but was the best for the money. You could getthem new for around $135 so you may find a good used one for the price you are looking at.

Re: how much line on baitcast reel

It is just to save line and money unless you are using braid and want some backing to keep the braid from slipping on the spool.

1/8th of an inch from edge of spool is the max that I fill mine up as well.

Re: Looking for two allround rods

The Skeet Reese rods by W&M. Best bang for the buck on the market. As an avid follower on this board, this is the first time I have read someone pushing the Skeet rods as "the best bang for the buck.: :clown: To each, his own. I'd probably opt for a couple Fenwick HMG's if you want to keep it aroun...

Re: Just me or do BPS look like Lews Reels

Am pretty sure that Silstar makes the reels for BPS as opposed to Pure Fishing, unless Pure Fishing is connected to Silstar somehow. Anyway, the Pinnacle reels are made by Silstar and I had a problem with one of mine. I called Silstar to try and get it fixed. The manager on the other end was a jerk....

Blade Baits?

Anyone using blade baits this winter?

Just wondering if you have found a difference in the various brands. I have the Cotton Cordell and the Vibe E's and have not seen any differences in the catch rate or actions.

Just wondering what your experiences are?

Thanks!

Re: What is the Best Rod For Texas Rigs For $100 and under?

W&M Skeet Reese rod. The spinnerbait /worm rod is perfect for its intended application. The action and power are spot on. 7 ft. w/ 12 zirc oxide guide inserts plus tiptop for $89.99 The zirc oxide is perfect for braided line. You can barely get those guides alone for that price.

Re: Looking for two allround rods

The Skeet Reese rods by W&M. Best bang for the buck on the market. They do not break and the guides are Zirc Oxide which is perfect for braid. The Senko/Toad rod is my all around rod. I have used it for buzzbaits, big worms, spinnerbaits, small jigs, hard swimbaits and have even caught 20 lb sharks ...

Re: Braid for hard jerkbaits?

Well thanks for the replies. Since originally posting, my goals was to learn and become proficient with the hard jerkbait. I am not there yet but here is what I have found after fishing it religiously. I have lost more fish on braid than on copolymer. The line stretch and the correct drag setting he...

Yes sir! Will do. I will need a partner for a club tourney or two this year. We fish Saturdays and it will be good to get out and have some fun. Pizz is a super guy to work with as well! Top notch painter and good fisherman to boot! Hey Bryan, I didn't realize that you were on this forum until just ...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

A nice day of crappie fishing and

A pic of the "would be" Lake Lanier yellow perch record. It weighed a little over 2 lbs and my buddy threw him back without getting it officially weighed. He had no idea what he had caught! lol
