Revo3 Winch 5.4:1
Looking to change the 5.3:1 gear set in a Revo3 Winch to something faster. Are there any faster gear sets that will fit in the Revo 3 Winch? I know this is counter productive, but it's not my reel.Something like the gear set of the Gen3 STX-HS? Would probably have to go with washers, I would just ha...

Re: custom drag washers
That's what I do. I use a combination of scissors, Exacto knife, drill and drill bit, and a jewelers file to finish off. I buy Carbontex by the sheets in various thicknesses.

What spools will fit the Daiwa Pixy PX68 SPR? And where could I find spare spools?

Re: When the clutch engages in the middle of a cast
Just had this on a customers reel. I noticed significant wear on the pinion gear, and damage to the spool pin. I ended up replacing the spool pin, pinion gear, and main gear and no more issues. There was no damage to the main gear, but I always suggest replacing both gears at the same time for fitti...

Re: Best oil for spool bearings for saltwater use
Been using TSI 321 for more than a year now, I fish fresh and salt with great results from protection. Before I started using it and would service reels, I would have corrosion in some of the AR bearings, Pinion Bearings, and handle bearings, not any that I recall in spool bearings and after using T...

I've been using TSI321 on my reels for more than a year now and on customers reels for about 8 months, and have had no issues.

Re: Hedgehog replacement air bearings
Does anyone know what the replacement bearing would be for a 1150 air bearing in their air kit? If so would the 1130 replacement air bearing fit in the same housing? I just got the T3 Air that I want to replace the bearings in but I want the ceramic bearings instead of the standard Air BFS bearing....

I ordered one for my wife, and one for myself last week. Her Pixy will be going on her's, I will have an Aldebaran BFS XG Ltd on mine when it comes in. Thinking about putting my Core 51 on it in the meantime.

Re: Pro angler 14 or predator XL
I've seen a lot of good Harbor Freight built trailers. I think that would be ok for local fishing, but I wouldn't push it on long trips.

Re: Pro angler 14 or predator XL
I know the Yakima Rack and Roll isn't for everyone, and I didn't think it was for me at first. I bought a cheapish new trailer for around $750, and then added another $500+ in modifications (metal fenders, tounge extension, LED waterproof lights, longer heavier axel, bigger hubs, went from an 8" tir...

Re: Pro angler 14 or predator XL
I started roof racking the Pro Angler on a full size 4wd Chevy Silverado this ended shortly. We roof racked because we had 2 Pro Anglers and both wouldn't fit in the bed of the truck with the fiberglass tonneau cover. We went to a trailer almost 5 years ago and haven't looked back.
