Cal... you didn't write what you don't like about the Berkley fushion trebles in your Dredger review, only that you thought they should be changed right from the box? I've fished several baits that carried the Fushion trebles and found them to be pretty decent.

Curado/Chronarch parts interchangeability
Two questions: Are the line guide pawls of the Curado 200 series and the Chronarch 50 series interchangeable? Other than the bearings, what are the most often needed maintenance parts? Thanks

Curado B "super free" question
Recently bought a Curado 201b used that needs a good cleaning. The spool has a sticker on it that says "super free". I've downloaded CU 201b schematic but didn't find a CU 201b "super free" schematic. Is the "super free" different than the CU 201b schematic that I downl...

It's about retrieving baits at the correct speed, repetitively.Bantam1 wrote:The 6.2:1 reels have more than enough power to fish the deep cranks.

Re: Low ratio left Curado I
Quite disappointed! I had to buy a Curado 201B5 from a flea market board... hope they are as bullet proof as Shimano fans claim.

Low ratio left Curado I
Bantam... with the popularity of the Curado I, has there been a conversation about adding a 5.x ratio to the lefty selection?

Re: Roller Clutch Bearing Mess
As long as you've got a new AR bearing on the way, try cleaning your current bearing by setting it as a unit in a small jar of acetone for a couple of hours. Carefully rinse it off, let it dry and very lightly re-oil the rollers using a q-tip lightly soaked with the lowest viscosity oil you have. Re...

What about low gear ratios? Any 5x:1 gears available compatible with the Chronarch 51e? (if so, give me a link)

Bantam1... I have a solution to our different opinions. Send each of us a $50 certificate valid on a new Chronarch e5 to make up for the lack of X-ship technology and price difference of the new Curado. I'll send my snail-mail address if you need it...

Re: Please tell me a lefty Curado I for cranking is coming
He's explained many times that the guys on this board are way outside the normal demographic that Shimano markets to. I don't think I believe that's the motive of Shimano for being on this board. I think it's more likely they want to use boards like this to measure the pulse of the fishing public. ...

Re: Please tell me a lefty Curado I for cranking is coming
I tried 5:1 before and it was great for spinnerbaits, Bingo! Double bearing supported pinion gear... great breaking system... under $200 price... why wouldn't I want a 5.x:1 Curado I for my spinnerbait rod! oe I think the better question is why would you? Again I'm not trying to " stir the pot...

Re: Please tell me a lefty Curado I for cranking is coming
Bantam1... Your response aside, Abu is doing a nice job offering 5.x : 1 lefty models : Orra Winch, Revo Winch & Toro Winch. I was looking for a slower lefty Curado I as well, thanks for the Shimano culture update. I'll have to check the Abu line-up.
