They are not stiff, but definitely not your full glass noodle rod I have a 7'4 Envy Cranking and that is one of the best cranking rods I've used. Lighter and more balanced than the Shimano crucial. It depends on how much you like this style of rod, it's definitely a faster action than regular cranki...

That's cheaper than what I was originally told, but then it could be the US/CAD MSRP differences

There are some minor differences in the frame to accomosate the spool and some porting and angle differences, but essential lythey are the same platform.

I could be wrong though, but Ill get more hands on time with them in the next two days
