Broken Tict Ice Cube 69f rockin finesse
I accidentally high-sticked my Tict Ice Cube rod while trying to net a slab crappie and snapped off the solid carbon tip section of my rod. This is the top 5-6 inches of solid carbon tip. This rod is a 2 piece rod and I was wondering is it possible to just buy the top piece of the rod and salvage th...

Peeling clear coat on Chronarch 50mg
The clear coat on the palming side plate of my Chronarch 50mg started to peel badly. Can this be fixed?
Do you have a recommendation for someone that can do this type of repair right and at a reasonable cost?

Need Major Craft rod recommendation for crappies
I've been looking at spinning rods from major craft and they all look awesome. Which specific ones would make a good crappie rod? I will use it for casting 1/16 oz road runner jigheads in open waters and sometimes down to 1/32 oz heads. Thanks.

Need help planning the ultimate fishing trip
Me and four other high-school buddies are all turning 50 years old in 2016. Since I'm the only die-hard fisherman in the group, I volunteered to plan a fishing trip. They all enjoy fishing but only go when I take them out on my boat. Do you have any recommendation for a great fishing trip that will ...

Which Shimano reels are...
I bought a Shimano curado 50e for a great price when they were being discontinued. I put it away and never used it until recently, I'd always been happy with the 200 sized reels that I was used to. Well recently I tired 50e and loved it. Best fitting reel for my hands that I've ever used. Which Shim...

Re: New Dobyns Champion cosmetics?
Good to know, I figured without some type of finish, the logo and lettering would eventually rub off. I would actually prefer a standard rod finish in this area, it would give the decal a deeper, brighter look. Right now, the decal looks a little dulled, probably due to the matte finish. Other than ...

New Dobyns Champion cosmetics?
Just got a new Dobyns Champ series rod in, looks different from what I remember and what I've seen on the store shelves. Mine has a really cool looking graphite weave pattern near the handle section where the logo and written specification is. The thing that seems sort of strange is that there is no...

Re: Disappointed with my dx702 experience
hey civicrr, I know it doesn't make sense, but I've had two DX rods with problems at the tip. Both had an inch long scratch and I noticed them as soon as I took off the neoprene tip guard right out of the rod tube. I thought it was really strange unless this happened before the tip was placed on it....

Re: Disappointed with my dx702 experience
I had a very similar experience with a dx744. I had bought a dx743, loved the feel and looks and was going to go all dobyns but I had to go through 4 returns on my 744 for various problems and it became a real hassle. I didn't say much on this forum because I don't think people would believe me, see...

Re: Casting braid on recoils
I never had a rod with recoils and had read a lot of negative opinions on them. Two years ago, I bought a couple NRX rods and I actually ended up having no real issues with them. The noise, not too bad to me. I actually like the sound of the braid when I set the hook and fight a fish. It makes a dis...
