Re: Swimbaits for smaller fish

Just because the biggest fish caught around your area was 6 lbs doesn't mean it's the biggest fish in your area. Where are you from by the way? And no, you wouldn't be wasting your time fishing swimbaits, because like others have already mentioned, bass will eat baits that are bigger than them, its ...

Freestylin'

Somebody's gotta get this forum going with some nice fish, besides Matt of course, so why not start it with this one :D . Caught it this morning on a 3:16 Freestyle Shad (blueback/floater).

Re: Your favorite big bait manufacturer

Mattlures for me, ultra realistic! Since I'm still searching for a resonable 3:16 swimbait I can't vote on that. When I say reasonable I mean nothing in the $250 range  None of them sell retail for $250. Its just the demand that causes them to be so expensive, for good reason too. Many people...

Dominant left, reel left. The switching hands after every cast really isnt that big a deal for me. Reeling right just doesnt feel natural to me.

Lake Allatoona

Went fishing on Lake Allatoona last Thursday with Mike Bucca. It was really cold, with rain and wind mixed in, but we got on some good fish and had a fun day. Heres a pic of the big striper I caught along with one of the spotted bass we caught. Thanks again Mike!

A few from yesterday

I caught these fish on a private 15 acre lake yesterday. The water was really cold and muddy, made for some tough fishing. ](*,) But I found some fish on the first break off of a big flat, hopefully it means that theyre moving up to spawn soon [-o< . Both fish were caught on 10" worms; they really a...
