Nail weights tungsten vs lead size comp

Does anyone have some nail weights in tungsten and lead of similar weights to post some comparison photos? I don’t have any local sourcing for tungsten. I am using them for inserting into D.O.A. shrimp and I would like to have the size be a little smaller for the same weight that I have currently. J...

Try the Tush hook from core tackle, they have 2/0,4/0, and 7/0 weighted hooks, you can get them from Tackle Warehouse
I see that, somewhat pricey but they look like the perfect hook to make a Zman fluke fall horizontally

Re: Looking for a hook

These only come in 1/8oz and 3/0 hook, but I've used them fishing inshore for redfish and speckled trout with great success https://www.4horsementackle.com/product-page/poppin-cork-jig-hook This is exactly what I need, 3/0 is perfect for specs, will this still run hook up in a super fluke or zman s...

Looking for a hook

Is the a brand out there making a hook similar to the weighted shank lunnker city slug o hooks. They only come in 7/0 and 9/0. I want something similar to rig zman 5” streakz and jerkshads with An exposed hook.

Re: Lucky craft issues

This feels like a throwback to http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=84507 :) Water temperature, water composition (salt and even mineral content), line type and line diameter all affect whether a jerk bait actually suspends. I don't expect mine to do so out of the box because it's a near-i...

Lucky craft issues

Venting here, purchased three lightning pointers. From what I read they should suspend. All three of mine float. I called lucky craft to see what I should do. They said I should take them back to the retailer. If they won’t take them then I can call back. Why should my local shop be out of three mor...

Re: Transducer placement

I uninstalled and plugged the old holes with rivets. I ended up going with a removable arm from cabelas.

Transducer placement

I need help with my transducer location. I am losing signal at speed but also I think it is coming out of the water if I am in the front of the boat while solo fishing. It’s a 14 foot alumacraft. The transducer is the totalscan lowrance. In the photos I have marked the 12 inch from the motor mark in...

Re: Looking To Pick Up A Boat

If you aren’t opposed to a tin can, the newer bass trackers are nice, or even the bigger 19-20 foot alumacrafts. Drop some seadeck in there and it’s almost hull maintenance free

Re: Battery charger issue

Yeah I called minn Kota and it’s toast. I pulled out my multimeter and tested my battery as well as the charger. The charger was surging crazy high. It lasted over ten years. Was a good run.

Battery charger issue

Called minn Kota and they were no help surprisingly. I’ve had good luck in the past with their support. I plugged my trolling battery in last night and all three lights on my charger illuminated and the charger makes a humming noise. I have the yellow charging light, red check conn light, and green ...

Lightning pointer SP

Got a question about the Lucky Craft lightning pointer SP. I was fishing it for the first time the other day and I swear it was floating when it landed in the water. It also seemed to be sorta high I. The water column from what I was expecting. Has anyone else noticed this? I coulda just been seeing...

Re: Does PLine CXX float

CXX will float until the surface tension is broken, then it sinks. It is not inherently buoyant. I’m curious as to why you don’t want to use CX for your leader. It is much thinner than CXX for any given pound test, and you probably don’t need the abrasion resistance of CXX since you’re talking topw...
