If they are being friendly I do not believe they feel harassed either. Good luck with getting some resolution.

There are some ponds in Toronto that you can catch fish on but it is heavily pressured.
Some people fish Lake Ontario from shore or on the small islands short ferry ride away and have success. Have seen big northern pike and carp getting caught this way.

Always been a fan of the Hag's Tornado baits so I would take the F5. Can flip/pitch, wacky rig, drop shot and more.

You could pitch/flip with 25 lb flour if not comfortable with braid.
I personally always flip with braid. It has no stretch so you don't have to lay into the hookset as much as you would with fluoro.

Mine is the remote watching fishing on tv until the ice is out!

What modifications do you do to a buzzbait? I like throwing them and have heard of people drilling holes in the blades and holding them while the drive (not sure why that one)

What do you all do? If anything.

I started with a CRB blank from Mudhole and a cardboard box with two "v" notched out of the ends.
The CRB blanks are not bad and cost effective
