I have a pro angler 14 and fishing the bay. I usually bring 3 combos (Shimano reel size): a 1000 for jigging, a 3000 fishing bridge/pylons, and a 10000 just in case there are something really big (tarpon, big snook, cobia... etc.) comes around.

Hey guys, I am currently getting rid of most of my casting rods for more of an "all around" MH casting rod. For an all around MH rod I would look no further than a G Loomis MBR783 GLX. It can do many things well. GLXs are awesome. I landed a 50# blackdrum (saltwater) with a 12# walleye GLX; a 22.5"...

So rods do have 1st year production issues just like cars. I was thinking picking up one but will wait a little while.

The color sure stand out. I'm not sure which model (old vs new), but a friend bought three sticks. Two broke while casting; the last one sold.
