Re: August Holiday Couple Bass On A New Bait

No leader for the pike/muskie? awesome video btw! Running straight 25lb Fluoro I didn't feel the need the way fish were hitting the bait, seemed to get Pike on the back treble most of the time but perhaps in the future I'll run one. No real abrasions to the line tho seemed to handle fine. T...

August Holiday Couple Bass On A New Bait

Went away earlier in August caught some nice fish as always! Tried a new lure the Megabass Big M 4.0 and it was a blast, tried all my current rods XH Conquest 7'11H GLX went for the Compre Muskie 7'6MH last minute and it did the job perfectly. Matched it up with a TranX 200HG 25lb Sunline Assassin F...

Re: Looking for a Frogging Rod

All great suggestions.. Thanks. I have not even heard of the IMX-Pro 885 TWFR I had and old IMX 844 , two of them actually and sold them for one Megabass Faust. But I remember the 844's and I like them, regret selling them especially since I already had one Faust. 844 vs the 885/884 are completely ...

Re: G.Loomis/Shimano Swimbait Rod/Reel/Line Advice Please

I’ve only taken up throwing the type of baits you show (nice collection!) for the past 2.5 years or so as a regular thing. It’s been fun. I have nothing out of the box really to suggest. Based on reading I have settled on regular fast action up rods in heavy and extra heavy. My long bomb rod was a ...

Re: Looking for a Frogging Rod

First hand use the IMX-PRO 885C TWFR is a dreamy frog rod. I'm using the 5/8oz Snag Proof Frog's but they cast out way to far. Lot's of distance the rod despite it's Mag-Heavy rating is the perfect Frog Rod. I've searched for years fishing a Cumara 7'4H, NRX 7'5XH, Expride 7'2H Frog, the IMX-PRO 885...

G.Loomis/Shimano Swimbait Rod/Reel/Line Advice Please

Morning guys! Recently and for all of this past winter I've been learning about bigger swimbait's and how I can use those tools in my largemouth fishing here in Ontario. I never finesse fish or even own spinning gear, when the bites tough or when covering water ill throw the frog, soft swimbaits in ...

Bass Opening Weekend Pics/Video

Morning guys! Got away for the weekend last weekend and caught some really nice fish! On Saturday in the wind and rain numbers were easy to come by on Nichols Spinnerbait's, Swim Jig/Swinging Hammer combo, jerk bait fish some punching and frog fish one 4lbr on the swim jig. Sunday the sun came out a...

Re: Where are the shimanos?

How would you compare the expride vs. your adrena Rods? First off I haven't been able to fish a rod from both lineups in similar length/action. I can say flipping with the 7'3XH Expride vs the 7'4XH PA the Poison had much more feel! That split grip disappears behind you where every other rod I've e...

Re: Deep Cranking/Big Bait Combos

Perfect indeed I just noticed the black matching nicely between both  Fun reel like how it's much more sealed than the Curado. Little more beefy look with the handle. Watched a good tear down between both learned lots

Re: Deep Cranking/Big Bait Combos

My only setup for "big" swimbaits. Just spooled up some Sunline 25lb Assassin FC main 2 baits are the Jackall Gantarel Jr and in lower light conditions I'm going to try the Megabass Big M 4.0 Shimano TranX 200HG/Shimano Poison Adrena 7'4" Ex-Heavy http://i.imgur.com/mjTJg7M.jpg Can't wait to try it!...
