Re: What rod caught you the most fish in 2018?
tight race between my nrx852s or my Majorcraft Nanoace 6'9m xfast...i really focused alot on finesse fishing and no joke i am so surprised how well built and sensitive the Majorcraft rod is for $100..i recommend them highly to alot of my friends who casually fish and want a nicer rod..having owned d...

Re: ABU spinning reels?
I've seen ike do that with his steez spinning reels when he was with diawa....my guess would be instead of back reeling he prefer to pull the line out himself..guess is that it's quicker when playing a fish and in tourney mode that's $ at the end if the line

Re: $300 spinning rod for bottom contact techniques
I really like my Dx703sf for my all around spinning rod..It handles senkos, jerkbaits and jigs..3/8 jig and a chunk trailer are no problem with it..it's a very crisp and responsive rod...I've thrown just about every technique on it and it has responded well...but it really shines with trigs and jigs...

Re: Tackle Tour needs a jwr shootout for 2015, who agrees?
Sensitivity can't be actually measured but I think a group of people (min 5) using the same sticks and all provide their own ratings on a smaller field of rods ...say 5 max and see how those rankings look..I knows it's all subjective but would make for a very interesting read

Re: Keitch jigs
TW does state its a gammy hook...every lure has it's purpose most issues are operator error..someone w 65lb braid and a taught drag will bend the out this hook , can't use this jig like you would a use a dirty jigs no Jack jig which you can throw into the nastier cover.I have only used the 1/4 oz mo...

Re: Keitch jigs
Love these jigs as others mentioned its more of a finesse jig I use the 1/4 ounce casting model for fishing in less than 10fow and have great results..again finesse..loosen drag, nothing more than 15lb test and you shouldn't have issues w the hook straightening

Re: Gander Mountain Panfish/Trout Series for 2015
I'm curious because some of ganders rods look a feel similar to 13 fishing products.gsx elite and omen black have similar looks components only noticeable difference held side by side is the omen is lighter in hand...I bought my son a 13 ambition spinning set up and tbh, I like the stick. I was hopi...

Re: Need some help picking a spinning rod
If hour using moving baits or plugs I think a f tip would be better than an xf...although some people state phenix xf is not a true xf...I would lean towards a zodias M f action or a envy black m f action

Fwiw I would pick up a used Nrx852s for working and bottom contacts and grab a second mh spinning rod for cranks and spinnerbaits, poppers..etc.

Re: Spinning rod for frogging for my wife
x2 on the Abu MH's they are alot more powerful than the lure rating suggests..vendetta, veritas, or the volitile..i personally throw smaller frogs on my dobyns 704sf and i handles them just fine. Im sure the 705 is probably a beast.
