Re: It's Been Quite A While...

I love it partially because I have a very similarly custom painted blue TDZ reel which is also mounted on a Dobyns Champion rod. It is not quite as stunning as yours, but I always get a smile on my face anytime I pick up that combination. I'm betting that you do too :P :P

Re: Shimano Curado I vs Daiwa Tatula

I have owned both and both are good reels. The two negatives I found with the Tatula were 1) for some reason Daiwa did not install the brake adjustment dial flush with the side of the reel and at least for me it is a real irritation when I'm trying to palm the reel, and 2) I took both reels, along w...

Are there any gear sets that would increase the speed or ipt for a Conquest 100dc?

Re: Auction site gems

I have a CP-301 spool in a yellow pixy..one of my favorite reel/spool combos :) As for the Blue Emblem in that Type R.. I saw that auction and was going to bid, but wasn't there a nick in the corner of it? Maybe I was thinking of another one.. Also, I though the Blue Emblem spool was for the TDZ-10...

Re: Super slow

I'll have a whole BATCH of stuff to post, but waiting until all the projects are done. Then I will post my entire lineup for 2014 and some really cool new reels - they still have "bling", but this set is much more conservative with more of a classic appeal than the stuff I showed in the Bling Galore...

Re: The tank

*a little back story (feel free to skip down to photos). Alot of reels have come & gone over the years, But my favorite design of all time is the old Daiwa procasters. They made a few different lines using this body. The last series (and best imo) is the procaster tournament 33 series (PT33). Daiwa...

Re: Swept handle for Daiwa Millionaire

Awesome - thanks so much guys! Another option you could consider is the Livre 90 Feather handle. The one with gold accents would look terrific on that reel. Shipping is $10. I does not require swept drag star. The cost is $179, but if you spend $120 for a super high quality CF handle and then put h...

Re: New HawgTech Swept Handles with matching parts...

Hey guys, this is Mike from Hawg Tech. We recently started building the swept handles and have been selling a few on a pre-order basis. This product is the result of feedback I received (much of which was from this forum) from people who asked for a longer/less bulky version of our straight 94mm ha...

Re: Protecting reels from boat rash?

I don´t fish tounaments, but I do carry a bunch of rods, Raul goes around his everyday lake with his TM slowly moving from one place to another, Raul grabs a rod rigged with a spinnerbait, makes several casts with that rod and as he moves along comes that brush Raul likes to flip a bait to, grabs a...
