You’re welcome. I don’t post too often, but I had to let you know my thoughts on that great blank.
I hope you enjoy it as well. And I’d look forward to hearing what you think of it once you get it in use.

Re: NFC DS 761-1 (HM)
I’ve had a rod on this blank for three seasons and I would say it’ll definitely handle up to 3/8 oz in 20ft of water. You might not be making agressive overhand casts with 3/8 or 1/2 oz but there’s no way it feels under powered with that size weight. And I use this sometimes for drop shotting 7 inch...

Re: Rod for an aldebran mg7?
Another vote for going a little above the price range... the NRX 893c and Aldebaran make an amazing combo. Definitely something I'd encourage you to consider.

Re: Gaus 20X
Yeah, I saw that it was sold out and that the Caldia isn't listed. If Megabass USA isn't able to get it for me, I'm wondering what my options are? Should I try to order the screw cap for the Caldia 2000 Kix from Plat? Any other options? Thanks again for the help. Really hoping that MB USA comes thro...

Re: Gaus 20X
Thanks guys. I can't seem to find the Hedgehog Studios screw anywhere. Can you happen to find it? Another question, do I need to get the Caldia 2000 handle screw cap? Or do other sizes of the reel have the same screw cap? Like the 2500 or 2004 or 2504? Thanks for the help pointing me in the right di...

Re: Gaus 20X
This thread is a little old, but I'm bumping it up because I need some help with this reel. I have the MB Gaus 20x. This past weekend I lost the handle screw cap. Not sure when or where, so I need a replacement. I contacted MB USA and they are checking to see if they can get the part for me. If not,...

Re: Deps DR-100ZXL
I own one of these reels and was bothered by that same bar. Running straight braid so a knot is not my issue. What is the purpose of that bar? You're really supposed to pass the line over the bar not under it? Won't the line rub against the bar during the retrieve on a long cast? I'm struggling with...

Deps DR-100ZX Question
I picked up a Deps DR-100ZX and I have a question about modifying this reel. I don't know anything about modifying the internal workings of reels, so this may be a dumb question... Can you modify the drag system of this reel to make it a standard adjustable drag? I will definitely find uses for the ...

Re: Reel for my first Megabass rod
I would suggest a heavier reel than some that you listed, for better balance. I think Zillion variants balance well. The Zillion Type R is black, though not matte, and I think the red accents on the reel match the rod nicely. Might be a little fast for swimbait though depending on how you fish. And ...

Re: NRX 901S...input appreciated
What about the NRX 872 or 902 as a drop shot rod? Is there a disadvantage or a longer rod in drop shotting? Any use either of the rods for drop shotting?

Re: Aldebaran BFS XG question
Thanks guys. Turns out that you're right about not needing a deeper spool. The reel is a really fun little reel. Still getting used to it, but early indications point to really enjoying it.

Aldebaran BFS XG question
Does anyone know if there is a higher capacity spool that would fit in the Aldebaran BFS XG?
Would the spool from the original aldebaran fit? Any other options?
Thanks!

Re: ZPI handle question
No, it makes sense. Thanks for the post, you saved me from ordering something only to have it not work. Does ZPI sell different colors of their ZPI nut?
Can I put Avail knob caps in? I'm using the original knobs for the Aldebaran, so hope I can!
Thanks again.

ZPI handle question
Im lookin to change the color of the locking nut on a Shimano Adebaran Mg7 with a 92mm ZPI handle. Does anyone know if the Avail Nut for Shimano will work with the Shimano Aldebaran with ZPI Power Game Carbon handle kit? Does the Avail Nut come with a locking screw because right now the ZPI uses a l...
