Pac Bay rainforest2 1026-2 and 1025-2

Hello, anyone knows the spinning 2 pieces blanks from Pacific bay, the rainforest 2 series, I'm interested in the 8'6" lenght the MH and H power, ( codeRF2 1025 steelhead and RF2 1026 salmon), someone told me that the Mh is very light action and the 1026 is too much powerful , I cannot remember wher...

Re: Tenkara

Tenkara is the smart way for little streams, for bass you are limited to the distance achievable, but it should be very nice fishing with little bass.
Not Expensive is relative, you could spread some bucks or a whole capital, as any other fishing technique.

Re: Lost clicking spring on drag star on Scorpion 1000

You can use the curado 100d or chronarch 50 mg , or other spring even for new models, that pins are almost the same.
use grease and not glue, glue will affect functio of click and is difficult to remove , grease is a better idea.

Re: Curado 100D - ticking

hi, you could even remove the antireverse pawl ( JDM reels don't use it, and are almost the same than domestics ( europeans or americans) this is in addition of the antireverse roller bearing. ( the scorpion 1001 is the basically the same than curado 101D and it hasn't the antireverse pawl, only the...

Re: StCroix fly

hi, I've bought an imperial 9#5, impressed by the blank action, good assembly and good components, just a little troubling with the reelseat, after some use in rainy days,. not very stiff action, but a good blend of fastness and smoothness, the ideal blend for a trout rod. ...............now I'm pla...

Re: Curado 100d Gear Grindy

I had the same on a Scorpion 1001 ( same chassis than 100D) replacing the main gear and pinion has solved the issue, but I think this is due to the lack of metal sideplate, so during use the grafite let the gear having some jokes and them will became noisy )
curado 100d has black main gear.

I'm planning to buy a 9' 6Wt fly rod and I'm choosing between StCroix Avid and Imperial ( price is not much different)

Re: 100D spool vs. 100DSV spool.

hello, for removing this screw you need to remove the non handle shell , by removing the nut of the sideplate shaft, just under the levelwind.

take a look at this link

I think it coul be useful.

Re: Bearings in New Curado G Series Reels

The Curado G has 4+1 bearings. Bearing count is important if the bearings are in places that make sense. The bearing quality is also important. I have seen reels with several bearings that sell for a low cost. The bearing quality is very poor and the bearings are in places that simply offer no bene...
