Re: Left handle shaft for 04 Stella 1000

I was the one that asked....Good luck. I found the "correct" part number (thanks to Dan) on ebay and it came in the wrong part--the seller listed it wrong. I looked for months and the only option I found was another handle with a left shaft....and the guy wanted $100...I gave up and sold m...

Stradic CI4+ 1000 binding up/randomly gets hard to reel

I have a handful of these for crappie fishing and yesterday one started getting hard to reel. It was 28 degrees so I thought maybe it was freezing but it kept doing it even after it warmed up into the 40s. Some times it reels free then all of a sudden get hard to reel. I had an issue way back in the...

Re: Exsence dc 17 dc sound gone

As stated above, I had a Conquest 200 DC that would lose the whine because I didn't use it enough (only for summer deep-cranking) and I would have to send it to Shimano to "recharge" after not using it for many months. They recharge via the cast, not by any external means. Exactly what I ...

Re: Desperate need of a right handle shaft that fits a JDM '07 Stella 2000s

It is the similar Stella to the FD but the handle is like the SW where the shaft is removable and there is a different shaft for right and left...and I only have the left.

Desperate need of a right handle shaft that fits a JDM '07 Stella 2000s

I bought a 2007 JDM Stella 2000s and it came as is, with a left handle. I have realized I have too many spinning reels. I recently sold it to an aquaintance, without knowing they were left handed and want a right handle. Does anyone know where one could source this right handle shaft?...or compatibl...

Re: JDM Stella '07 2000S help

We no longer have parts for the FD models outside of bearings. The JDM models were slightly different than ours due to gear ratio differences. We did not offer the 2000S model in FD. I am not sure how different it is internally. You can send the reel in and our tech will do his best to service the ...

JDM Stella '07 2000S help

I recently picked one of these up and it is super smooth but the handle doesn't spin as freely as my 2 2500FE, which will spin for days. Not a huge deal but wondering if Shimano will service this reel or if there is not enough crossover with the old FD iteration. If Shimano won't, is there anyone ou...

Re: Necessity of friction ring in Shimano spinning reels

I also had an issue with my Sustain FE. Reel repair man removed the friction ring and this solved the problem. He also told me that this part is basically unnecessary and the reel functions just as well without it. So why is it there? I was asked the same thing by a buddy yesterday after discussing...

Necessity of friction ring in Shimano spinning reels

One of my crappie reels (Stradic 1000 FH) bound up and I did a complete tear down finding the old black friction ring (PN 7845) dry rotted, etc...Was going to order more but then I was talking to a buddy who owns a tackle store, he said he has removed them and fished the reel without....and they see...

I hear ya...My first response was just to chuckle when seeing it...after being so used to handling "normal bass gear."

Re: NRX model help needed

It sounds like the 894 is what you are looking for. Even though it's a 4-power, like your 854, the 894 is considerably more powerful. The 893 would give you that tip flex like the 854 and the 895 would be too stout, in my opinion. The 873 fishes much heavier than a typical Loomis 3 power because of ...
