Re: Archangel 8ft Heavy
Brad, Are you an engineer? You theorize like one. I say that all in jest. I can only speak from my personal experience, but you are right that a short rod is has more accuracy. I used to believe the 7'6" had better accuracy until I went back to a 7' rod and it was a night and day difference. T...

Re: Fish Finder
What do you want out of a fish finder? Find fish or find depth? If you just work the bank, no need for DI or SI. Get a black and white one that shows depth and call it a day. Side Imaging and DI are only for guys who don't beat the bank. You said you don't need GPS so get the cheapest unit as possib...

Re: Diawa Tatula Spinning Rods
I actually have the 7'1" ML that I used for dropshotting smallies on Erie. It performed great but my reel seat was too big or something from the factory because every reel that I put on it would shimmy. There was some play even with the reel locked down. Besides that, the gold thread used to wrap th...

Re: Easy Shiner, Swing Impact which ones for you
The fat is just to expensive for me to justify. I personally use the 2" easy shiners for crappie and the swing impacts in 3.5 and 4 for smallies. Last year I discovered that the swings killed the smallies after the drop shot failed me. I feel like the skinner profile on the swing impact gives it a m...

Re: Cabelas (Daiwa) Verano...
I have one going on my third season but I only use it for drop shotting smallies in spring time so it's not used hard but it's been good. My only gripe though is that I think the sun has started to discolor the spool. I believe it was darker when it was new but the spool looks like it's lightening u...

Stop lying, we all know you caught that with Shimano gear. Your hat gives it away!
Nice fish and bass live underground? That grass looks so thick it looks like the bank.

Re: Fuji Hook Keepers
BTW, don't know if you have added this one to your arsenal yet but it's a really nice jig and t-rig rod (crazy good with 1/2 oz jigs). A little too soft to winch fish out of the thick stuff, but great around docks, wood and lighter grass. And a hell of a deal. http://en.megabassstore.jp/fs/megabass...
