Re: Pixzilla, Pixy SPR, or Conquest 50

It's really dark side indeed. =D>  Btw do u also purchase the Avail mag. brake for your Avail shallow spool, or u put back the stock 6 pins centri brake on it? For really light stuffs, what is your thought between using mag brake and centri brake? And which do u prefer? My ZPI's ...

Never cast a Presso before. But the Conquest 51S and the PX68 SPR should do better, IMO.
We're talking in terms of stock condition of course.

Re: Pixzilla, Pixy SPR, or Conquest 50

I own a Revo Elite Aurora with ZPI finesse kit on it. Have been using it for about 6 months and so far I am very happy. Cast light weight (<3g in total ) as good or even better than spinning, and yet it feels solid. Indeed the ZPI finesse spool is very light in weight about 8g, much lighter than mo...

Re: Pixzilla, Pixy SPR, or Conquest 50

SPR... I've owned all 3 and the SPR dominates in small lures compared to the other 2 I'll second that. Although, if you could find a Conquest 50S/51S, it would be great too. Another option is just to get a Calcutta 50XT/51XT or a Conquest 50/51 and order an Avail shallow spool for it. These two opt...

Re: #1 Daiwa Reel for Pitching now?

PX68SPR Stock! For me it would be my Steez 103H, with a carbontex drag upgrade. The Pixy Type R (stock) looks hard to beat though. I dunno... I still prefer centrifugal brakes for light stuff... Even after trying Daiwa's various magnetic brake systems. The PX Type R is on magnetic brakes. And...

Re: Revo MGX wins ICAST 2011 "Best Freshwater Reel" award!

I hate to debunk a myth, but I was at Icast, and I voted. Retailers like me do the vast majority of the voting. Reels not mounted on rods, no line, reel just out of the box, and in case your wondering I voted for Daiwa. Nobody talked to me or tried to influence me, and I did not vote in several cata...

Re: Another Conquest 50S question

Will the Conquest 50S (shallow spool) cast light lures as well as the Pixy variants? Compared my PX68L SPR with a friend's Conquest 51s and another friend's Conquest 51 (with a shallow spool from Shimano Japan). All three are great with light stuff. All three cast down to about 2.5g like a dream. 2...

Re: Daiwa PX68 SPR by Murakami Haruhiko

I have not tried it and after looking at the videos I was less interested. I'm able to cast a weightless Keitech 4'' Shad Impact with the Alphas R-Edition and an Arrival 6'9'' MH a good distance without trouble. Why can't they show something more impressive than small minnows and texas rigs?? I agr...

Re: Daiwa PX68 SPR by Murakami Haruhiko

Hi all. Has anyone tried the PX68 SPR yet? How does it fare against the Conquest 51s and the PX68? I have used the Conquest 51s, and it's great for 1/16oz to 1/8oz lures. Heard the PX68 is even better for light stuff, but haven't tried it. Very interested to get my hands on an SPR. Anybody here used...

Re: DAIWA PX-68 SPR Now Available

the rise of the yen after the tragedy of the earthquake and tsunami, has made this a much more expensive reel to acquire now.
i'll be waiting for reviews before i make an order.
