Re: The Bear brings the Heat, Okuma's Helios Baitcaster
Good review Cal. I also have the Helios, and love it! The only change I made is added Shimano power grips instead of the stock and wow that made me love the whole package. The Helios is a very nice caster out of the box. Get one you won't be sorry at its price point.

Re: Five Seconds and More with Quantum's EXO PT
That may have been the case with the grease. I don't know. An 11 gram spool if only it was shallow it would give a Pixy a run for the money in comparison. The spool bearing sizes have changed, that may make it cast different also. I don't know why people are not commenting more. That was a great rev...

Re: Five Seconds and More with Quantum's EXO PT
Very good review Cal. I do think people shy away from Quantum's in general due to past experiences. They usually take a more controlled thumb to cast far without backlashes. The made in China doesn't help for a lot of the users of this site. I probable have 80% Quantum reels due to their affordabili...

Re: Bantam is this possible?
jpd0144 brought to my attention the cast control knob is aluminum and for that I thank him. It is now only the drag star that needs to be changed is there an option in the Shimano line-up that is black and will fit. The Avail aftermarket is also an option and 3 choices of style.

Re: Bantam is this possible?
That is very good to know. I had the Core 50mg7 lined up as my 2nd Shimano casting reel, but it seems I already have one in the Ch50e. I would definitely go with the Core 100 if that is the case. That 50 should be much lower in cost than it is then. Thanks for being honest with me Bantam1.

Re: Bantam is this possible?
Sorry that this is a month old, but I thought that all Core's had a handle side magnesium side-plate. Wow, that really surprised me. Why all the plastic? I know it doesn't effect the reels performance, but it does effect peoples decisions to either go Shimano or elsewhere. I bought the new Chronarch...

Re: Bantam is this possible?
Thanks man, just having thoughts of a frankencaster that would kick a$$ and have a neat look to it, mostly wanted the beefed up handle side-plate. Thanks for checking it out for me though.

Bantam is this possible?
Bantam, how much do you think it would cost to swap my Chronarch 50E sideplates with Core 50mg7 sideplates, drag star, and cast control cap? Is this even possible and are the Cores parts (sides) magnesium with an aluminum dragstar and cast control knob? Just very curious to see if I can even do this...

Quantum Spool Bearing Listing is Incorrect
Why do all of the Quantum spool bearings on your site say that you only need 2 bearings for the spool when indeed you need 3.(5x11x4)(3x10x4)(3x8x4)????? The cast control bearing is always in contact with the spool.
