Re: Dobyns Champion Extreme HP

I think you could get away with a 4 power rod if your not fishing heavy cover with the frog and jig. If your fishing heavy cover, I would suggest a 5 power rod...either a 705 or 745. I think the 4 power is the most versatile rod in the line ups...but maybe over matched in heavy slop/pads. For about ...

Re: Burning spinnerbaits

If your fishing for smallies I had Pepper Custom Baits build me some 1oz double willow chart with chart/white skirts. I ordered them specifically for a tournament on Sturgeon Bay, I had them in 4 days and they worked flawlessly. Ended up in second place with 24.5lbs all caught burning blades in shal...

Re: Gander mountain line

Its packaged under Ganders name, but states on the package its made by Sunline. I bought some of the braid, and probably should have bought the flouro too to try. Its priced really well...braid 300 yards is $24.99, Flouro 400 yards is $19.99, and mono I think was 600 yards for $9.99.

I had about 100 posts on here before the crash. I've had lots of transactions with members on here through BBC as I hadn't met the 100 post mark until right around the crash.

733 or 734 in Champion or Savvy series. Not too many baits you can't throw with those two.

Re: best Dobyns rod for jerkbaits?

I throw a lot of jerkbaits, a lot, and love the 704cb graphite!! I have two, they also make a great pop 'r rod, and I spent 4 days in the Ozarks throwing square bills on them two weeks ago and thouight they were perfect.

Re: Which Dobyns Spinning Rod for Shakey Heads

Meach,

I think you'll like the dx703sf, thats what I'm using for shakeyheads and have no issues what so ever. Makes a good senko and tube rod also.
