Re: Daiwa Alphas sv105 spool upgrade

First off, welcome to the forum. I have owned a red SLPW SV105 spool and it offered no upgrade over the stock spool, unless you count the pretty colors that are available. I sold mine off after I realized that. However, it is a fantastic upgrade for any other Alphas platfom. I have 3 of the stock bl...

Re: Tatula CT CS Type R

I knew you could get it in the US. Just wishing it was a staple in the Daiwa's US market. The reel is actually intended specifically for the Chinese domestic market. But I agree, the reel should be widely available here, even if Daiwa only released it as a special/limited edition. We can only hope....

Re: Major Craft nanoace 6'9MF

Thank you sir. I'm totally find /w mod fast. Can't find any info on this darn rod. I'm looking for something that will pretty much be used for 1/4-3/8 yellow magics / Ricos/ popX /w braid. My gut says 69MF but I don't want it to be "over loaded" /w 3/8 if it fishes lighter. I was looking ...

Re: Major Craft nanoace 6'9MF

I have the 73MF WJ Nanoace rod. It fishes pretty true to its ratings imo, only its closer to mod-fast than fast. I actually like it for mid-depth cranks, in addition to spinnerbaits, bladed jigs and swimjigs. With braid, it works adequately for light bottom-contact stuff, too. Sensitivity is about a...

That is a fine looking specimen...I wish they sold them here in the states. http://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=75_823_2623&zenid=9b9502a7a23e2a3c19490aab667881fe They've all been sold out on TTT for a while now. Im sure you can call and get one ordered. Gary says no more ...

Re: Tatula CT CS Type R

Tore it down to the frame as they had the level wind greased up - I prefer the dry film of TSI 321 on that. Exactly the same internally as my gaudy red/black Type R https://truth-zone.net/media/kunena/emoticons/918584270.gif Now I'm REALLY gonna be blasphemous and order a set of Reel grips for it ....

Thank you!

I learned the hard way  btw, quantum knobs and Daiwa knobs are interchangeable. I had a carbon handle from a Tour PT (with OG corks) on one of my Alphas reels at one time.

Re: Daiwa Steez 103HL options?

Hey fish a JDM Steez 103HL which has lived up to every task however even though its as good as it is Ive been wondering if there have been any upgraded parts for it and where to buy them?? I cast down to 1/4oz baits on it but its tricky. Man, where to begin? There are a myriad of spools out there t...

Re: pros/cons, steez sv tws, us or jdm model?

Don't feed the troll! To give my input on the original question posted, I just ordered and received a JDM Steez TW1012SVXH. The reasons I went with the JDM version is: 1. I wanted the higher gear ratio not offered in USDM 2. I wanted purple highlights to match a custom I've having built 3. I will b...

It has already been proven on more than one occasion in this thread with specific examples. Your refusal to accept it is of little consequence to me.
