Re: Are Loomis GLX rods far behind now?

Got them, impressed but I wouldn’t call them extra heavy lol.

More like a heavy mh for the 855
True heavy for the 895

In case anyone cared the 895 weighs 5.4 and the 855 5.1 so not bad for normal size guides that aren’t titanium.

Re: Are Loomis GLX rods far behind now?

Very nice Van! Jealous man, I have talked about visiting Tennessee and possible moving to that region.

I would try and sell them local before shipping them for sure. Quite a few very serious fisherman here these days.

The rods are supposed to arrive in the next few hours….

Re: Are Loomis GLX rods far behind now?

Thanks fellas! Van, moved to Tennessee eh!!! So much more water and way way better fishing. Bet you don’t miss the front range rat race… Family all good just so busy. The rods shipped today and I paid about half of retail. If I can don’t like them i should be able to break even selling them at least.

Are Loomis GLX rods far behind now?

Good to see some similar folks from years ago still on here! I have still been fishing but not like before. Mostly due to having two kids that play competitive soccer and also have been kinda burned out on Colorado fishing. I did have an impulse purchase last night though with two GLX rods! I haven’...

Best scale....

So a buddy of mine caught a Colorado pig... 8+lbs No scale  He already ordered a 60lb boga but we were wondering how accurate it is on those smaller fish. 3-5lbers? Do a lot of pike and TM fishing so the 30lber may be bottomed out at some point. Any other scales worth while? I have a accucall, ...

Re: 3:16 rising son color option?

Not sure of your forage but most of the colors are pretty quiet. Ayu is semi bright with the yellow spot and a bit of a odd color IMO.

Bluegill is a sweet color as is carp. All the trout are nice too

Re: Anyone know how Dragon1 is doing?

He is doing fine....
Got a text from him a few days ago with a Colorado pig pushing 6lbs.
Kids, life, work etc makes it hard to be on sometimes. I have hardly fished this year, two kids change everything. One not too bad but the second makes it tough to leave the wife.

Isn't that a mono? Doesn't really compare in my eyes

Re: Megabass I-Slide

Any updates? Think I need a 185 or two....

Fish? pics? video of swim action?

How do the 185's swim on pike/muskie leader in the 50-70 lb range?

Shimano doesn't discount anything if its current.
