Helping a buddy find a rod. Looking for a 7'9 to 8'0 ft rod, mod fast action, weighing under 7 oz with a lure weight ranging from 1/2oz to 3+oz. Have seen some rods in the kistler heliums and klx line ups. was wondering if you guys had any ideas from other rod makers with similar stats.

I use the legend tournament 7'10. Punkers as well as rof 12 hudds seem a bit much on it. solid rod otherwise for slammers and the like. Have not had a full cork sb rod to compare with. yet.

20-25lb big game or triple fish mono

Large snaps, easier to change baits without retrying. In my experience they don't seem to hinder the baits action

Does anybody know what brand the stock hooks are on the buzzjet? Also what are you guys replacing them with? (Brand/Size). Any help appreciated.
