Re: Chronarch 50E or Curado K?

Sorry but but as I have stated before the additional braking adjustment option on the newer Shimano reels is a joke IMHO. To me there's absolutely no need unless you are new to baitcasting or can't utilize the ole' thumb l. Tension knob and one block maybe two on my Manoz is all I need. In addition...

Re: Zillion Type R to Zillion TWS

for those applications, don't even bother friend. especially so since you'll be replacing good reels with good reels hahaha. i honestly don't think there's enough improvement to really warrant to switch. unless you just want something new (and i'm not knocking this either cause if i just wanted some...

Re: Chronarch D7

I'm with jmd_143. If they're good mechanically and have a little bit of rash, then $175-200 per reel easy. I have 6 of them myself and it's the only reel that gets used on tournament day.

Re: An even newer Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?

A new Tatula CT would be nice but it would have to have something to really set it apart from the SV which is an excellent reel. I've also noticed that the SS Tournament reels seem to be selling out everywhere too. Looks like a classic spinning reel could be finally being retired. What I really wan...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?

Dear Scooby, Give it a little time...a few casts in the parking lot won't show you what this reel can do. I appreciate all the feedback, but i don't think its fair to judge a reel so quickly. Your post was pretty harsh considering a little play in your handle knob. Thats something that could easily...

Re: Rod decisions....the struggle is real!

I can easily recommend a Dobyns Champion Extreme because I fish them. I've tried quite a few different brands over the years, and it comes down to accessibility, comfort, performance, and warranty. I'd imagine that fishing from a kayak can potentially lead to more broken rods than if fishing off the...

Re: New Powell Endurance line coming

I think I might have to pick up a 733c. I just LOVED the original Powell Max 733c...it just felt right!

Re: G Loomis IMX MBR783C for LC Pointer 100s?

I think it'll work fine. Is it what I would use? No. I prefer a glass rod to throw my Pointer 100s, but that's my preference. There are a lot...and I mean a lot of people that will use a 6'6" medium-heavy fast action stick for throwing ripbaits. I know a lot of guys on the Delta that do it, and...
