Re: New Shimano Caius casting reel
You can get a Curado 150 MGL off Ali for $140...why would you buy this? The Curado 150 MGL is a far superior reel and a tank. I'm using mine for saltwater striper, halibut, and bat rays without a single issue. Casts jerkbaits and paddle tails like a rocket. I put Daiwa's ultimate tournament drag gr...

Re: Reel Dress Up Parts?
I haven't ordered any, but I've seen a lot of parts on Aliexpress as well.
They have the brake dial screws, the one long shaft that goes behind the worm gear, screws, drag stars, etc.
I've been putting Gomexus handles and drag stars on all my reels.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
The issue was that the E clip side was too short to fit through the non-handle side plate side. You could see that the worm gear teeth did not extend past 3/4 to 4/5 of the spool; so the line would just bunch up on only 3/4 of the spool--it wasn't able to travel the whole length of the front/top pla...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
I had to remove some metal off the end of the teeth towards the non-handle side.
I did order BNT4010–I’m not sure what the difference is, but I was able to find that part number from the Chronarch Ci4, which I heard was the same as BTN4010.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
So I received BNT3822 and they are very similar, but it does not fit correctly. I ended up grinding and filing down some of the shaft and was able to use some washers to get a good fit and get it to work. Unfortunately, I cut off too much so it does spool a little heavier on one side but it’s servic...

Thanks so much for this!
Would you happen to know the anti-reverse bearing part number? I'd like to grab up as many replacement parts as I can to keep these reels going!

Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
This is probably a big shot in the dark, but I'm trying to find a BTN4010 to replace the worm gear on one of my Chronarch 100D7s.
I thought I had stocked up on some...turns out they're for the Curado 200E7 and way too long.

Re: Worth fixing Shimano Chronrach Ci4+?
If you decide you don't want to fix it--I'll buy the worm gear off you if it's still in good shape.
I have some Chronarch 100D7s that uses the same worm gear and the part is discontinued.

Re: 2024 Metanium DC
I'm always confused when people say that a reel isn't holding enough line. I get it with big line and big bait but what is being used for 3/8-1/2oz that you all are able to unspool the entire reel? I feel like I'm doing something wrong because I'm never even close. TEACH ME!!! I have a Daiwa ...

Re: New GLX
Surprised this wasn't brought up earlier when AMF started the sale--I'm curious to find out as well.
How are these GLX compared to more modern rods like the Megabass P5, Steez AGS, and the like? Are the GLX more comparable to the Expride and Tatula AGS?
