Re: The Rounders Heavy Metal Club
These are the round reels in my boat every time out.....except for the Shrapnel that just came a couple weeks ago and is awaiting fall pike and musky season.....can't wait! I believe the Shrapnel will be the best musky reel available. The Conquest 50 Shallow Special and the Ryoga 1016 with Ize 1012 ...

Now I've got the 10, 20, and 30 size Ryogas . I can't wait to exercise them on some pike and muskies soon! The 10 and 20 size have been fantas...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Great pics Matt. What were some of your most productive baits...jerks and cranks for 'eyes, baits for pike? Primary like baits were 6" swimbaits, muskie-sized glide baits, large spinners (like double showgirls) wth 6" mogambo trailers. I use an 8" spoon with a 6" trailer too quit a bit. Makes a 14"...

Re: Show your ride
My ride......2013 Lund Pro-V with Verado 175 and 36V trolling motor. Not as fast as a bass boat.....but a heck of a lot more comfortable in big water up north. It's basically my dream boat for the bass/muskie/walleye fishing we do! http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/flntknp17/8D6D6665-6FC1-4919-9...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Just returned from our annual family trip to Lac Seul in Ontario. Fishing was fantastic as always. No giants is trip like we caught in September (up to 46"), but huge numbers of fish between 36" and 40" along with all the walleyes you'd ever want to catch. The pike right now are thicker and heavier ...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Man Matt, 3 huge pike on one trip. Nice. All 3 looked bigger than my personal best (pictured to the right). I'm gonna force the guys to return to Ontario next summer. We've skipped 2 years in a row. Its killing me. DaveJ Dave, honestly I just posted three......we caught probably 15 or more similar ...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Spent the first full week of September in Ontario as has become customary for the past five or so years. Weather was nuts......but so was the fishing! We had daytime highs from 49 to 85 and wind and rain much of the time. The fishing was excellent throughout. I'll post a few pics. Primary pike combo...

Re: NRX 822 DSR and Stella C3000XG - Does it get any better
Yep, love my NRX 822DSR Stella combo as well! I'm using a 1000FE on mine. This combo is always in the boat! How come you went with the 1000 Stella ? What size Large Mouth Bass can this handle ? I have three Spinning rods and just two Stella's so I might try the 2500 or even the 1000 The 1000 Stella...

Yep, love my NRX 822DSR Stella combo as well! I'm using a 1000FE on mine. This combo is always in the boat! Or when we fish together....two of those combos! Probably the best pairing of a rod and reel I've ever used. I have tried a Steez and a Megabass Luvito 256 and IMHO this particular rod balanc...

Got a few pre-spawn fish on cranks yesterday. Loving the Tomahawk GTA/Calcutta DC combo for throwing cranks on windy days

Re: Conquest 50 paired with a CBR781 GLX?
You are gonna LOVE that combo! I've used a Conquest 50 and a Conquest 50 Shallow Special on a MB X4 Rattleviper for small cranks for a couple years and that reel couldn't be more perfect for that application.
Sweet pairing!

Re: Megabass Parry Arc F1.1/2-66X7S
I have an F1 power spinning rod and it would make an acceptable smallmouth rod for open water and lures < 1/4oz in size. Mine has 4lb flouro for 1/16oz jigs and 1/8oz drop shots. I would say if you're in any sort of cover or feel like you might need line of >6lb you'd want an F2. Just my $0.02 Matt

Re: Full Lineup Show & Tell (Get Your Camera Out!)
have you had the chance to fish the Kirisame much? How is the power and is it a true XF or a F? I just acquired that one....so no fish on it yet. It is at least as fast as the 822dsr so I'd call it XF........certainly the fastest MB rod I've handled. Power is definitely no more than light...it will...

This is the base line-up in my boat. We fish about half bass and half walleyes with some pike/muskie thrown in. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b36/flntknp17/2a9f7565fb015819eeae8b3e4915f5da_zps8b177b0f.jpg St Croix LTB Drop Shot/JDM Revo Neos St Croix Legend Elite/Stradic CI4 St Croix LTB Small J...
