Re: YEN
Dollar continues to take a pounding vs the Yen. Orders are getting more painful by the day, might have placed my last for a while today. (man I really wanted that Steez CT SV, but not for $570!) The AU vs the USD is looking really good. I can get a Ryoga 1520 for $380 from AU, $430 from Japan and $...

Re: Low profile swimbait reel suggestions?
I wouldn't recommend the Tatula HD for the lures you plan on throwing. It just isn't made for it. However, it is great for top waters, Hudd 168 and Deps 175.
I have never used a Lexa but heard good things about it. That may be a better route.

Tatula HD Worm Shaft Bearings
Would anyone happen to know if the Tatula HD use the same worm shaft bearings as the Zillions? If not, would anyone happen to know the alternatives?

Re: Plutons Line Guide Issue
Followed the discussion on this link, this is my problem. Does anyone know if Daiwa made a better part or do they just replace the broken part with the same weak part"

Re: Plutons Line Guide Issue
I think this is the issue Im having.

The Pluton pawl assembly isnt like the low profile so adding a washer made it worse and could do damage. I highly suspect, it isnthe plastic levelwind gear.

Re: Daiwa Pluton: Any problems w/ the levelwind?
I had the problem and returned the reel to Daiwa and they fixed it. It was an upgrade that was not included with some of the older, initial introduction reels that some of us got. By now, it should be, at least in my mind, a non- issue since so much time has lapsed since the problem seemed to occur...

Re: Plutons Line Guide Issue
This issue is back. I have a new pawl and a and a stabilizer bar in it still gets stuck other either right or left side. And when I took the old pawl out, visually, it did not look damage. Same with the stabilizer bar.

A Shout Out
Want to give a shout out to BOCA. I made an order back in mid Nov and according to tracking, it was delivered on Nov 30th in my mail box. I never recieved it so I went to the post office with my tracking number. They said they delivered it and there is nothing they could do. So I called BOCA, actual...

Re: Edge Rod
They are still around. I have the 705 and it is a superb rod, however, it is light on the power. The MH feels more like a medium. Also, I wouldn't consistently throw lures on the top end of the lure rating. Mine is strictly for light or weightless plastics.

Re: Certate (Blue) Line Roller
I will give that a try. And also need to look into the aftermarket line roller. Been having a ton of issues with these Certate line rollers.
