Re: Blank for Stream Trout
Look into some fly rod blanks and possibly cut the bottom to get to the length you want.

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Avenge
It’s really tempting to pick up one of these rods, but little to reviews have me holding back. Hoping someone replies with some on water use.

Daiwa Zillion HD 22
Any opinions on the new 22 Zillion HD? I’m debating on jumping on the new HD or the tried and true older HD.

Re: Trolling Motors $$$$$$$$
Price for new toys are insane right now. I was in the market for getting a new trolling motor and after weeks of debating on new vs used, I bit the bullet on a new Lowrance Ghost. I cringed at the cost, but as history shows, but now to avoid the increase down the road.

No real advantage other than throwing slightly lower weighted lures.

If you don’t want to go the boonedox route, the other alternative to a heavy kayak is the Wilderness cart.

Which gamma do you use?poot04 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 7:38 pmGamma is the best flouro I have ever used and the only one I use now. I have used seaguar and sunline and they don’t cut it for me. On a side note I only use it for leaders and other lines may handle better then gamma ran on a full spool. Gamma does not break!!!!

If you have a heavier kayak, the Wilderness cart is hands down the best cart.

Re: Bulk Line Recommendations
I hear you in burning out 100 yd spools. I’ve bull in sublime sniper, p-line tactical and daiwa j. For me the tactical feels better for lighter applications.
If you really want to splurge go with the Gamma Edge, if it wasn’t for the cost, I would bulk on every size of this line.
