Re: Riot Baits Lil Creeper Jig VS. Kietech Football Jig

Agree completely...both absolute smallie killers, but I like different attributes of each. Mostly just need the owner hook on the Kietech model!!!

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Initial impression: Super smooth tank of a reel that is comfortable in hand and a joy to retrieve - literally ZERO geary feeling to the retrieve. I will say (as others have mentioned) that while I have only 2 days on the water with it, the casting distance thus far is significantly less than Met/chr...

Re: megabass destroyer Daemos

I've had the Daemos all year and all I can say is that it is one versatile rod. It excels at swim jigs, lipless, vibrating jigs and can even double as a bottom contact rod for tubes, fball jigs and swing heads. I wish I had a second one!

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods

First day out with the Daemos and all I can say is WOW! It is so versatile and SO sensitive. I love the power and the taper; forgiveness where you need it and power when you need it. I found it to be a ideal rod for swim jigs, swing heads, spinnerbaits, chatter baits and lipless cranks. Given that t...

Re: What is hands down the MOST...

Legend Elite spinning rod - St Croix
Poison Adrena 6'10" M - Jackall/Shim
and the newest "elite" sensitivity rod I have would be MB Destroyer Daemos US; initial impression is WOW!

Re: What's your favorite MB 110 color?????

GG Smallmouth ... wish I had more than the 2 I own. One barely resembles the original d/t bass scars that I am considering retiring this year.

Re: Megabass Magdraft?

I think Im going have to boil the tails to soften; the action is too muted for my liking. The magslowl coming out looks like the better bait to me (i have 6in version)

Re: First time Glider

Making the jump officially and grabbing the perch S-waver 168 and the perch pattern GC Claw 178. To round out my start into swim baiting I grabbed a MB magdraft 6in in Nude bass. I am thinking a MH 7'6 SC Xtreme rod with 16 lb fluoro (might upgrade to 20 to fend off esox) spooled on Core 100mg7....a...

Re: Shimano tackle boxes (jerkbait, topwater etc)

So you are saying these are the best box for storage/display of 110s/110+1s because that is what I had in mind?...just having trouble swallowing the price tag.

Shimano tackle boxes (jerkbait, topwater etc)

Does shimano have plans to re-release the tackle boxes previously made (green, blue, red with hook keepers)? I am sure that someone is aware that these go for $50-60 on secondary sale sites. I imagine shimano could make a killing mass producing these for 20 or so per box. Hopefully they didn't sell ...

Re: First time Glider

Do you have many of the smallies commit to the glider or mostly follows? I imagine my local lakes with smb/lmb mix will respond well to it, but I am guessing the sturgeon bay smallies will be a lot of followers.

Re: First time Glider

thanks for the input. I think I will get an s-waver 168 to start the year and grab the gan craft as long as I am not tangling with too many esox. Hopefully the smallies enjoy the glide!

First time Glider

Gonna finally give the glide baits a good try this spring. Looking the match the forage up North and would like to shoot for about a 2oz bait in the 6-7in range in a Perch pattern. If big toothy critters weren't so prevalent up here I would go straight to the Roman Made negotiator in perch, but the ...

Re: Your Favorite Discontinued Bait

Currently being discontinued so I am stocking up....Jackall TN 70 in Super Craw. It may have caught more fish than any other hard bait that I own. I believe I have gone through 5 of those baits and will be stockpiling as TW has them for $10 ($9 if you use 10% of GC promo)

Re: Keitch jigs

Agreed. Its a FB jig to use on a M powered rod with 10lb FC......works wonders with the drag set correctly. Boated many 4-5lb smallies that fight harder than most LMB. I wouldnt recommend this bait for targeting big LMs in deep water however
