Re: Daiwa Pixy Replacment
Also where can I order parts? I have an abrasion in the line guide (if I'm calling that the right name) that I need to replace.

Daiwa Pixy Replacment
What would be the best replacement for a Daiwa Pixy px68. Is there a reel on the market currently that performs like the px68?

Diawa Pixy/PX68 Alternative
I use the PX68 Liberto to throw lighter baits. I love the reel. Anyhow, I have been well stocked on rods and reels for the past few years and have not kept up with new designs or reels. I've been thinking about getting another rod and reel as a backup but Diawa not longer offers a pixy that I can fi...

Re: Dobyns Rods Break A lot?!?
I submit that the reason this line up has changed 3 times is not because they want to change the color scheme but rather because of the integrity of the rod itself. [-( Shimano, Daiwa, St-Croix, Loomis to name a few, they've all "revamped" rods at some point. They were changed, Now they are c...

Re: Dobyns Rods Break A lot?!?
The person who started this thread has only 4 posts and they are all on this thread. He hasn't posted since August 6th. That alone makes me question his or her motive. I'm not defending Dobyns as I've had to replace 5 guides and have sold off most of mine. I don't like Kigan guides because of this....

Re: Dobyns Rods Break A lot?!?
no clue about dobyns. but DON'T automatically discount the poster due to post count "1". Remember my first post on this board? I was one of the first to expose the ridiculous NRX reel seat issue. Next set of posts was taking photo's (first in North America) of the new Green NRX, after Bantam said t...

Re: Dobyns Rods Break A lot?!?
I own 5 dobyns rods. 2 extremes, 744c, and 702s. 3 champion rods, 806c, 736c, and 765c. I really like dobyns rods. They are light, well, balanced, and sensitive. However, my cousin, 2 of my friends, and myself have had rods break for no particular reason. I can't even tell you how many guides and in...

Snag proof buzz frog spinning on the retrieve
Got a new buzz frog and ran to one side straight out I the package. Soon it started spinning on every cast. I tried to figure out what was wrong with the frog but can't seem to figure it out.
Any ideas?

Re: New frog reel suggestions
Yeah, I actually have a steez frog rod and the zillion type r for a frog rod as well. When I'm fishing the delta, I like to have a light frog and a dark frog on the deck at all times. I'm just not trying to spend a bunch of money like I did on that steez and zillion. I have a problem and must resist...

k3fishing wrote:Tatula r 8.1, super duty is a little lighter, use sd for flipping and pitching, never thought of it as a frog/top water reel, could work... but I like the tatula's smoothness. Just my 2 cents.
Do you think the tatula type r has enough drag to handle delta frog fishing?

New frog reel suggestions
Right now I have a dobyns 736 I use has a frog rod and for small Swimbaits. The reel I use is starting to see some abuse. It is a revo stx. Throughout the day, when I need to make a long cast the reel will hum, whistle, screech or whatever you would call it. Therefore I am considering buying a new r...

Need Help Finding a few jigs/trailers.
First I am looking for jigs that are hand tied. One jig I'm looking for is brown/tan colored with yellow/gold strands mixed in. I do not have a picture of the jig. I am also looking for a twin tail grub or hula grub the color of the picture below. I also am looking for a jig similar to the one pictu...
