Re: Calling all soft jerk bait fanatics

Zoom fluke for fishing bank lines or, shallow water in general. Strike King caffeine shad for flats with submerged grass.

Re: How many duplicate baits do you carry with you?

Always buy in 2's. If it is something I use a lot, I sometimes have 5 or more of that particular bait.

Re: absolute worst reel you ever owned

Wasn't a fan of the Caenan. Casts great but the drag is really weak.

Re: jerkbait rod under $150

When I emailed 13 fishing and asked which rod for jerkbaits, Matt replied the 7'1" med/fast omen. I thought that was very interesting because I was originally thinking the 6'7" med would have been the answer. He said the tip would be perfect. That would be a nice stick for the job too. Re: jerkbait rod under $150

The 13 Fishing Omen OBC67M is a really nice jerkbait/topwater rod at its price point of $100. It's a 6'7" medium power rod. It has a short but section which is nice for jerkbaits.

Re: Jigs hook size????

I started making my own jigs because fish kept shaking off. I use a 5/0 Owner deep throat for just about everything I pour. Fish cannot throw this hook.
