Any resource or tips for a CA DELTA Newbie?
Hey all, I've been wondering is there any good resource or if someone can shed some light onto these mysterious CA Delta waters? I have only fished lakes & reservoirs, so trying such a huge body of water with tides sounds like a daunting task. 8-[ I know heading through fall & into winter may not be...

Re: Best Time for Night Fishing
One thing I have always heard is to wait at least an hour after the sun totally sets to allow the fish vision to adjust to the darkness the same way human eyes need to adjust. Don't know how true this is but I have noticed a difference. I somewhat agree with this statement. The fishing does seem to...

New finesse rig: PX68 on a DX702!
I see a whole lot of Dobyns' fans here. I can't wait to see what the hype is all about!

Re: Are single or double buzzbaits better at night
I think that for night fishing a black or dark color spinner bait with a big, black Colorado thumper is the way to go. You want a lot of vibration and the Colorado will do that. Boohyah uses the same blade as well. I love the round rubber skirt, BTW!

Re: Are single or double buzzbaits better at night
I believe the double prop is supposed to imitate multiple baits. I personally, have never used one. I usually have a couple variances in buzzbaits, but in my favorite colors. I like to use a single prop with a "clacker" for days/nights with some wind. Calm day/ nights I like to use the single prop w...

Re: Topwater Night Fishing and Treble Hooks
I agree! Stick to trebles! With good trebles, there should be hardly the need to set the hook anywhere near that hard!

Re: Best Daytime Topwater Colors for Clear Lakes
So do most guys fish a shiny bait in bright sun compared to using clear baits. Good to know because I was about to order a few clear baits. But chrome or ghost might be more versatile. I only have one Translucent bait (which was the Pearl Melon One Knocker that I mentioned). I feel that no bait loo...

Re: Best Daytime Topwater Colors for Clear Lakes
Chrome will actually mirror as much, if not more, than actually reflecting sunlight...black chrome, blue chrome are classic colors for high sun and clear water in my book. X2! I fish a deep Clearwater reservoir. My all time favorite is Black Shiner! Heddon has a discontinued color that was absolute...
