I think that for night fishing a black or dark color spinner bait with a big, black Colorado thumper is the way to go. You want a lot of vibration and the Colorado will do that. I agree! Stick to trebles! With good trebles, there should be hardly the need to set the hook anywhere near that hard!

Chrome will actually mirror as much, if not more, than actually reflecting sunlight...black chrome, blue chrome are classic colors for high sun and clear water in my book. X2!
