Re: What do you daiwa guys use to bomb lures?

Helios Air, Concept A, Primmus. My 50th Anniversary Zillion does a pretty good job on the right rod. 3/4 oz. spinnerbait, 12# Elite and 7'6" HF Zillion gets some pretty good distances. Gen 1 STX has made what are probably my longest casts to date, but that was throwing a 3/4 oz. spoon in tidal...

I think I am your long lost son. I can let you know where to send my Steez SV. :laugh1:

Re: Your go to lure

Locally I am basically practicing my casting or trying new gear. :( A spinnerbait is my most productive lure here....because it is what I use most of the time while doing the previously mentioned. I "fish" when in Florida with a brother-in-law. #1 lure is a 10.5" Zoom in Junebug. #2 i...

Re: Even when I lose, I WIN

My brother-in-law that I fish with in Florida has no problem soaking a worm. I'm not so good at it. One reason why I hardly ever fish a jig. Patience is a virtue...I have no virtue.

Re: Which 2 rods and reels are you guys going to mainly use this season?

I am not going to read through the replies because I know this thread was an attempt at a sick joke. This is Tackletour. No one here is going to mainly use just two rods and reels for a season. Having said that I am going to learn to use Ned Rigs and Drop Shots this year. Plus I will be using some o...

Re: Is there a better choice for me then sunline natural

I've only used 10# Super Natural and it is on a reel that doesn't see a lot of use. I did have 8# P-Line CX break on me down in the spool. I assumed it was from backlashing. Quite possible from kinking (a crimp?). Was when I was learning to use a baitcast reel. Can't say if they would perform better...

Re: What is the Tatula SV of rods?

Great info eveyone. The Light and Tough looks really interesting. I really like the OG Tatula rods but I have to get a Tat CT CS or Morethan PE to match. Don't know why Daiwa does not match their reels to their rods. I've always been curious about the current gen Mojo rods but know know anything ab...

Can't help with the handles. I have one Chronarch B. I keep it on a MH rod. The thing casts a mile. Backlashes are unheard of.

Re: Pflueger Trion

So over 100 views and only one reply? Wow. Doesn't anyone have anything bad to say about this reel, other than the price for an extra spool is way too much. I went ahead and used this little pearl white reel and so far I like it. Very smooth and quiet. Anti-reverse works good, bail opens and closes...

Re: SS/SV 105 differences???

Is the SS/SV 105 much different than the 103??? I actually really like my SS/SV103, it is a 7.1, use it for light cranking and jerkbaits with 12lb fluorocarbon. Only issue is that it doesn't long cast as well as I would like. I also would rather it have brass gears. I have seen the SS/SV105 on sale...

Re: This poor reel

I've noticed a lot of reels coming used from Japan look like hammered sh*t. Yeah. Picked up my last TD-Z 105H from Japan. The part below the line guide had almost all the finish peeled off. Sent it to Ian before using, He said it was dry inside. Still looks kind of bad from the front, but casts lik...
