They are stock Daiwa washers that came in the TD-Z reels, they are not carbon fiber, and their performance sucks as far as I'm concerned! :lol: I own many TD-Z's and other than collectors items that aren't being used, none have the stock washers installed. Just finished a transaction with baluga and it was flawless. USPS just about botched the deal, but they were able to recover the package.

Handle play as in turning backwards? If so, you may want to try cleaning the A/R bearing, or replacing it altogether.

If the handle has lateral movement, this is something I haven't noticed with my Steezes....or at least I haven't noticed it on the water while fishing.....
