Re: The most important setup-your truck and rig
I don’t have a boat or a truck, but this is my rig that I fish from. It’s a Native Watercraft Slayer 12XC. It’s a paddle kayak and not a peddle driven unit. I’ve upgraded it with a landing gear, power pole micro, and a humminbird depth finder. Behind it is my car I use to haul it to different locati...

ICast unfortunately isn't open to the public. It is for representatives of retailers, the press, and those that work in the industry/manufacturers.

Re: New Zillion - We want info!
Do you all think Daiwa has been paying attention to how Shimano has handled the new Curado I roll out? Look at the saying on the bottom of the ad, "When your customers ask, be sure you've got Zillions in stock!". Looks like a small jab at the competition.

Nice catches. Looks like you can't put that NRX down.
Re: New IMX
I don't have that particular model, but I do have the 822s SHR IMX. It's not as sensitive as a GLX or NRX, but it has a much more crisp feeling than my older Gloomis blended SHR and is noticeably a more powerful rod. The sensitivity isn't as pronounced over the older SHR rod as I was hoping for, but...

Re: Shimano Pitching/Punching/frogging Reels
I would get the Metanium. The X-ship reels are smooth and powerful under load. I would also get the 8.5:1…the extra speed is perfect for those techniques to get the bait back to you quickly…or a fish out of cover fast…plus it has a longer handle than the two slower speeds. The only reason I chose t...

Re: lucky craft skt mr and dr compair to the rc1.5 and 1.5d
The SKT MR and DR are not as round as the RC 1.5's. They have a more flat sided body if you're comparing those two. Also, the skeet has a much tighter wobble when being reeled in. I like using them when fishing stained or colder water when you need a different type of action. SKT MR/RC 1.5 rsz_21pho...

Re: One reel must go, which one?
I think he's saying the Sol has a TDZ handle, not a TDZ reel. I'd keep the steez and put a SV spool in it.trent_s wrote:I'm thinking you could get a lot of money out of that TDZ! Guys are always looking for those. I would personally sell the SOL and keep the two better reels.

Re: Megabass Orochi XX do it all or most?
Would the EMTF be a good choice if I also did some light flipping with 1/2 to 3/4oz lures around moderate to heavy cover? I rarely get into anything too heavy. I had a 734 Powell Max that did really well for lots of things, but I'm not sure I'd consider it a true heavy/4 power. I'd look at the tour...
